It looks horrible, I have to say that I for once have to say that it looks very malplaced and poorly designed for Dragon Age Origins, no beauty in it shown or whatsoever like as in all the other armor sets you can wear in this game, I suggest having an appearence tab or giving us a tool to design or alter the piece of armor in game so it looks sort of unique, that or redo the art work on it.

A helmet for the Warden Commander armor would be nice though as well.

The only problem with the Blood Dragon Armor is that it uses very low-res textures on the PC! I've read that it was an oversight, but they haven't fixed it yet. :(

Simple solution: sell it for gold.

Plenty of armor sets out there that look better.

Erm..I mean yes, I agree that it is a particularly hideous set of armour that doesn't look like it even belongs in the game.

But not with the same specs on, even if it was high Quality Textures it would look horrible, just the design of it makes one look like one of the Joke Knights from Monty Python and the Quest for the holy Grail.

Not speaking about textures really as it is, any other look even with low quality textures would look good. :P

I think I would have liked it better if they actually just included the ME2 version... you know the high tech version. I find the bastardization of "ancient" armor set worse than if they just included a high tech out of age armor.

I suppose that's what you get when they try to create an armor that will work in both a fantasy game and a sci-fi game. It's an eyesore.

Well I guess it is what I paid then, a pity really Bioware should know better about that quality of there products should have high standards even though if it really is just a small thing to ask for then it is me and 1000 of other people that has to look at the abomination they have created.

Edit:

I wonder if they would like to give any sort of compensation for this, not like I would like to stir anything up, but it indeed is horrible, the Sci-Fi variant would fit in better lol.

Edit:

Also Bioware are not retarded for doing this, they have made alot of really cool stuff and granted tonnes of options in there games and really know the universe, it is just this rookie on there team who was told to do something and miserably failed at it, I consider the blood armor a horrible bug. lol

It's a goddamn bonus promotional POS, get over it.

I was never interested in it to begin with because I knew from screenshots before I pre-ordered my CE that it was terribly unappealing from an aesthetic point of view.

The ME2 version looks quite nice though.

Still, it was 7 sovereigns more in the early game than I would have otherwise had. Not too shabby. Image IPB

It is not this much about the promotional thing I am ok with that, they COULD still had made the art work better for the DAO version so it would actually fit into the enviroment, take it or leave it... just voicing my opinion.

Also it would not take a long time to redo as it is, if not just for themself, then just do it for all the Bioware D&D Fanatics :)

Can't someone simply...edit the look? .... don't beat me if I'm wrong.

Actually, nordrian, someone did. There's some high-res textures in Projects that are much better. Just that resolution change is a big thing.

Any links for those mods, or is the base mod hard coded rendering it not posible unless it is all player made worlds?

It's just a higher resolution, it isn't going to change the look of the armor.

Why don't you use Juggernaught or Legion of the Dead?  Blood Armor breaks the game anyway.

I do as well as the Warden Commander armor and dragon/drake armor

So it is not lack of goodwill from my side, I just think they should do something about the Blood Dragon armor. :)

Edit:

I am a fan of the universe to an insane degree and been like this for 13-14 years if not more.

Funny thing about Blood Dragon armor. Aside from the helmet, it's the same model as Legion of the Dead.

The glowing "visor" looking thing is kind of out of place, I would agree.

It looks terrible but if you are a powergamer, it's necessary to use until you get the dragonbone or massive dwarven armor.

It's a recolor of some of the dwarven massive armor. They couldn't even be bothered to give it an original look.

You'd have thought that at the very least, since it was supposed to be a 'reward' or 'bonus', that it would have looked more unique.

Then there's the idiot idea of having the rest of the 'bonus' items on a vendor that you have to actually buy to get...

It is the design of it, actually if they just implented the one from mass effect 2 and removed the red eyes it would actually work out somehow haha
