I have played the first two ME games on my PC and I have a couple characters I've kept going through the series.  I am thinking about actually switching to PS3 for the third game, so I'll obviously lose those saved characters.

I guess my question is two parts.

1.  Is there any way bioware or EA can save my saved profiles to an online profile and then access it when my PS3 version gets online?  I mean, it already auto identifies my EA profile account to put up my name and achievments, why not my Shepard?

2.  I know no one will know, other than Bioware employees, but what major story options will I miss out on if I do in fact switch to the console?  What decisions that I made will not be an option to pick?  The demo gave me an idea, but is that it?
