Sorry if this has been addressed in another thread but I have checked over both the missing manual and done forum searches and have not found any specifics on what determines damage, swing speed, etc when using weapon and shield styles. The posts I did find with google just took me to the forum selection page instead.

So im just gonna ask a few questions and if they have been answered please be kind enough to point me to the thread or threads where the info was discussed in more detail.

1. What determines the damage of the shield attacks ? obviously strength but how big of an impact does mainhand weapon , size of shield, etc have on it

2. What Sustained stances impact the damage of shield abilities? I tried some short tests with prescise striking on but could not notice much difference honestly .

3. Has anyone come up with an effective weapon and shield dps equipment list ?

4. To go along with #3 what about possible spec choices ? they all sound promising but after playing through three times with other builds I realise that tool tip descriptions are to vague to really evaluate things. I am already starting off at some what of a disadvatage by trying to dps with this style so any insight into spec choices would be much appreciated.

I know the natural choice for weapon and shield is to focus on tanking but having played through as a dual wield  warrior with no real "tank" character I think sword and shield with a dps mind set would be fun.

What I am really looking for is information along the lines of the fantastic rogue work done by discobird but any insight at all would be greatly appreciated.
