Ima come out and say it.. Drell needs a stronger barrier. Specially for a vanguard, 250 barrier is not enough. With charge as the damaging biotic power, leaping towards an enemy (or enemies) and pop up with 125-250 barrier is laughable (up to 388 with max upgrades). Basically Asari have twice the survivability. It almost works, for the drell, as a medium ranged caster, because of his speed and dodge, but then it doesn't, as a vanguard isn't medium ranged ^^. Atleast he can kill the unshielded assault guys by detonating his own pulls! Obviously I haven't tested enough, but 500 barrier at fully upgrades could not be too much to ask for, could it?
I can't wait to try out the drell adept! (I hope reave detonates pull, else he'll be the only caster without detonate.) After playing drell once, I feel like I can't go back, due to the amazing speed and agility of the drell ^^ (but again, for gold, speed is not enough. Needs more strength/survivability).
I mean, he is great at dodging Phantoms. Once they pop out their blades in his face, he just backflips out, no foul. But actually killing a phantom, in gold? Nah. Atleast not in public games. It might help to give Drells a flat barrier increase when specializing in powers, rather than a percentage. Cause a percentage of nothing is nothing. (or just buff the % numbers to compensate)
