All on gold, baby. True Heros never settle for less.

And trust me, tapping that Quarian becomes exponentially harder above silver difficulty.

You know you're playing a FemVanguard right?:D

Hah. I know. I'm usually the one stasising the pair of Phantoms sneaking up behind them.

Ahh Vanguards. Like children in a candy shop.

A good squad (gold difficulty in mind):

Asari Adept (bubble stasis and Warp (can be both bio warp or single target))
Salarian Infiltrator (sniper and full snipe cloak)
Human Engineer (Drone and Overload focused)
X - Where X is another of the 3 i listed above.

Anything else is subpar in one way or another. Prove me wrong.
That group can control every battle on the battleground, and what they cant control they can strip for defences and kill very fast.
And no, tankyness is not a real role on gold difficulty vs hordes of atlas, turrets and phantoms.
Control and breakdown is the key.

I say that every class is amazing in this game and can handle gold. The problem, or lack there of, lies in the decision making abilities of the player, based on their knowledge of the enemy, the map layout, and the character itself.

I play a sick quarian engineer on gold, but it's strictly support. I freeze and move on to the next target, my wingman can finish it off with a heavier hitting power/weapon. Use flame turrets on large groups, and try to stick with at least one other person because this is strictly a team based game.

If anyone has the Carnifex, upgrade it with a scope and a damage mod. Congrats, nothing can stand in your way now.

I really do think it depends on the player. My human or krogan soldier rips it up.

So you think you can beat Gold with only Infiltrators and Adepts? Yeah right... good luck on that one.
Vanguard FTW. Vanguards are the best. You need them. They deal the most damage, make the most kills and are the best saviors (when you're down). Vanguards are heroes.

Relax man, I love the vanguard been playing it since me1. But it's a co-op game you need to work with your team. You have to adjust your thinking is all. You can only do so much solo. Especially on gold you will get rocked real hard if you just charge in recklessly. I can't tell you how many times I have saved teamates in cqc from phantoms and how many times they have saved me also. The game is very rewarding when you have that teamwork.

Krogan Soldier is one of the top teir classes.  I love mine and it is super powerful.

I think people are having an issue with human sentinel and human adept on GOLD due to being vastly subpar versions of their counterparts for any given situation.

Yeah, sorry I mean the turian sentinel for that. Thanks for the correction, heh. Then again the Human Sentinel's Cryo Blast is amazing. Cryo Blast + Warp is a nice combo. Also, Warp + Throw causes a Biotic Explosion I believe, but when it comes to shields then I admit that the Human Sentinel lacks strength against it.

Human Sentinel's have Cryo blast in multiplay???

All seriousness though Human Sentinel's are either a joke comapred to other classes or I am completely not getting how to properly use one. Makes a sad panda that Human Sentinel Tech Armor is useless, that they have no tech abilities, and have trouble with shields.

You are right about the classes, but wrong about the skills, though that's imo. Here's what I think:

1) ALL of these classes should use carnifex, no other weapon required.
2) Asari SHOULD have throw too. Ditch fitness, and play with the biotic dash on reflexes, don't get under fire.
3) Engineer should ditch drone and go incediary blast instead.
4) Salarian should ditch sniper riffle, and go longer cloak, and take both shield drain and proximity mine.

With all 3 classes I have completed gold with the setup I just named, to back it up.

Together with players that play good, this build is godlike, and gold is cakewalk.

Every class is useful if you can find someone capable of using it properly. My Human Adept can hold his own relatively well in Silver, and My Human Soldier destroys at any difficulty. My Turian Sentinel is doing really well even at level 4.

The funny thing about charging in recklessly, there's a thing to abuse the invincibility on nova and act as a dodge tank. I made a thread about the roll cancel in the gameplay discussion about it. Theres a slight window that you can get hit, but you can charge and waste time doing the roll cancel to get it back again. Though can get scooped up by an Atlas haha.

There is just a HUGE overlap in effectivness from silver to gold, for all classes. But the three specific ones, that were mentioned above are really the most effective ones.
