Hi, i am wondering about enemies survivability in the gold challenge. Seems like you always need to shot at least twice to kill enemy with defenses ie. centurion/nemesis/phantom. I noticed that and took several tests.
I am playing infiltrator btw.

So firstly I used widow with and without cloak it still takes to do two shots to kill the enemy. First shot take out defenses, BUT didnt do any damage to hp. So DOES CLOAK not working properly?

Then i tried another thing mantis sniper with cloak and without. The situation is the same for nemesis and centurion as it was with widow, but phantom took me 3 shots.

So the questions are:
1. Does cloak really work on gold properly ie add damage?
2. Or enemy defenses should be stripped firstly with one shot and finished with other?
3. It is a bug of defenses?

Ps. You can one shot enemies with rocket thro
Pps. I really miss one shoting enemies :(

Hey folks,

This is working as intended. On Gold difficulty, enemies resistances must be completely destroyed before they can begin taking health damage. Look out for tactics like using damage over time effects such as incinerate or warp to prevent them from regenerating any defenses while you set up your next shot. Close range shotguns can also be effective, as any pellets above the ones needed to break defenses will go to health.

Good hunting!

This behavior is by design. Shields and Barriers protect enemies from big, single shot weapons. The amount of protection differs on each difficulty level, but on Gold weapon damage doesn't pass through the shield/barrier gate, so you can't one shot them. On Silver, 25% of the damage passes through the gate, and on Bronze it's 50%.
