So I was playing some MP tonight and a friend invites me to a game through Origin. I get in, see it's Silver so I get on my 19 Sentinel and load up on some ammunition and shield upgrades. The game starts normally on Firebase White and we take up our usual position on the high ground and wait for the first wave.
Then things start to get a little weird. A centurion runs out and I overload it's shield... and one hit it. Alright, kind of odd but whatever. I scope in with my Avenger and start taking some shots at the assault troops. All are one hit kills. Then I look at my ammo counter and see it's reading at 850 rounds.
At this point I am WTFing. Anyone else had a similar experience? Trying to figure out what was going on.
Lol what

Presumably your friend/host was running a hack?

Think that's what it was? He wasn't the host but I didn't know the other two guys in the game so I guess it might have been one of them. He commented on it as well after the game. Hope this won't affect my account or anything. Would hate to get banned for someone else's ****-ery.

The demo seems to use local files for the multiplayer. I think the server just loads the settings from the host and sets up the game based on those. If the host has hacked files, then the game loads funny.
It's a demo anyway, I doubt anyone cares. The final game will probably have either file verification for multplayer or use server side settings.
