Bleeding out & executions

Whose bright idea was it to have both? Why bother slamming the spacebar if an enemy is going to come stomp on your groin 2 seconds after you fall down?

It needs to be one or the other, not both. Personally I'd rather get rid of executions as it seems extremely buggy.

It doesn't always happen and there is a point to stay alive as long as you can.

Yeah, should be one or the other. Really don't like mashing a key to stay alive.... I wonder if I can macro it...

I hate having to mash the space key just to stay alive longer than usual. I'd rather they just give us the normal bleed-out time or maybe even make it last slightly longer as long as there's no mashing. It's just completely unnecessary, IMO. We get enough leniency with having enough time to use a Medigel before we bleed out/get executed. From a realistic point of view, what are we doing on the ground that would keep is from bleeding to death for an extra ten seconds? Fitting our fists into our wounds?
