Decimate means kill one in ten. Nuclear warheads CAN decimate entire planets, if the explosion is big enough.

Anything can be destroyed with a big enough explosion. My point was that I doubt that particular rig was powerful enough to cause a global winter.

I doubt it did any favours for the ecosystem of a good radius, though.

The planet from me1 that had a ton of monkeys on it. I loved killing those bastards.

And a the planet in ME1 you can land on and when you look up you see the huge planet that took the glancing blow from the weapon that killed the reaper, so frustrated that I can't remember the name right now.

Jartar?

I think this was the planet I was talking about with the TIM-like planet from ME2.
I'm not entirely sure.

Looks like Tatooine with too much iron oxide.

You're talking about Presrop, the moon of Klendagon, in the Century system of the Hawking Eta cluster, where the Major Kyle mission takes place in ME1. Klendagon is the planet with the Great Rift Valley created by the ancient mass accelerator cannon.

Here is the planet description, if it rings a bell:

Maji orbits the Vamshi binary giant stars. Vamshi-A is a blue star of spectral class A4III which burns at half again the temperature of Sol. Vamshi-B is an aging red giant of class M5III, over 220 times the size of Sol.

Maji has a thin atmosphere of methane and carbon monoxide. The difference in temperature between the hemisphere facing the suns and that facing deep space causes constant wind, stirring the silica and sodium dust of the surface.

Unsavory characters from the Terminus Systems occasionally use Maji for forms of cruel sport, dumping slaves, hostages, quarreling shipmates, or even (when bored) vicious animals on the surface. One must kill the other before they will be rescued from the lethal radiation of the giant stars.

Noveria and Feros in ME1.
Visually amazing and comfortable places.
The Collector ships and base in ME2.
The best example of BW´s art design.

Vermire was actually really pretty. Of course, it's probably not so scenic anymore, since we... well, you know, dropped a nuclear bomb on it.

Maybe the area it was dropped. Nuclear warheads don't decimate entire planets.

Let me be more specific then - that particular beach on Vermire was pretty, but got destroyed. I can't really say what the rest of the planet looks like, since we didn't get the chance to see it. Same goes for every planet in the game, obviously.

IIRC the equatorial region of Virmire was described as being tropical. I don't remember if the rest of the planet was described, but I got the impression that conditions were only right for life to exist and flourish around the equatorial band.

Citadel from ME1 as well as Noveria. I didn't like many of the locations in ME2 because they felt so small and linear. Even the hub worlds were mediocre.

Omega must be one of my favorite places in the whole ME series. I love the low-tech, dystopian future feel to it. Afterlife is great! I hope there will be more of it in ME3.

Omega for me. It reminds me of Blade Runner with the dark and grimy look surrounded by bits of neon and the Afterlife nightclub is one of the coolest experiences i have had with Mass Effect. Seeing that for the first time was really fun i spent a while just checking out every corner.
