Equip one weapon (your favourite weapon) and focus on maxing out one power whilst having the other powers for back up. Stay close to other players. That's my adept strategy but I think it applies to all classes.

For the Turian, I've ignored Warp because I don't have the points or cooldown for it. Tech Armor is specced for max defense. Overload is set to chain twice and have low cooldowns. Spam overload to stun things, then shoot them in the face with an assault rifle. It's stupidly effective and you're a walking tank while doing it.

I occasionally use Warp if I see a pull or singularity that needs detonating, but I don't use it too much because of the slower cooldown. Also, the sentinel's heavy melee is boss sauce.
I'll gladly answer anymore questions you have.

L20 sentinel, tech warp training and fitness full
Job is to watch and hold the flanks and with warp to weaken tougher enemys for a quick takedown, no power spam class, but with a true aim you can be quite an asset

But uh... yeah. Every so often I'll use Overload on a turret or a Centurion. Haven't really leveled enough to fill out any of my powers but Tech Armor, which gives me some fantastic benefits. I don't really focus a whole lot on the powers with the Sentinel because the Turian's the only Sentinel I've had interest in playing and it doesn't have any abilities I particularly care for. So I just kind of romp around the map as an extra soldier-type.
Probably not an ideal strategy for somebody wanting a true "Sentinel experience," but it works out for me.

Overload is amazingly good. Chaining twice, you can spam it to lock down a room. Combined with the high resilience from Tech Armor, Fitness, and being a Turian, and you're extremely hard to kill.

I'll probably dump a lot of points into it; I seem to run into a lot of Biotic enthusiasts online and Warp is pretty common so no real need for me to go that route. Would be nice to have something to break down those stupid turrets, too.

I rely a lot on my powers so I equip light. Right now I'm using Phalanx with scope and Tempest. This allows me to do long and CQ combat with pretty quick cool downs. I usually do Warp and shoot because that yields more damage to them.

All and all, my strategy is get warp and overload to a rank that can stun or knock anyone out of cover, then headshot them with a camifex (sp?) pistol. You can literally sprint through bronze, and be a really good supplement to any squad in silver and gold.

I got Warp to lvl 5 for the sake of increasing damage on target hit by it for 10 seconds. I have shields maxed in Fitness for, again, survivability though the last rank is 25% weapon dmg for 20 seconds after a heavy melee kill.
Basically with that combination you have high survivability, high accuracy at any range, and if you can get in a heavy melee kill (not to hard with that kind of power) you can boost your weapon dmg by a considerable amount. Which makes killing stuff that much easier.
Really helps when your getting swarmed as you can get that HM kill, and keep pumping out Avenger rounds into the group as you back up. Toss Warps at bigger targets to increase damage further. I like a lot of stacked effects like that in general.

At the beginning of a match I normally activate Tech Armor then I use Throw most of the time to get enemies out of cover so either I or my teammates can kill them. I use the Sentinel more as a Support/Combat class with increases endurance rather than focus on Tech or Biotic skills.

Playing with adepts is awesome, singularity / stasis and i throw in a warp and we take down groups with the biotic explosion...
The sentinel is an awesome support tank, just dont weigh it down with unneccesary weaponry.

Is it that chained Overloads are that superior to Lift Grenades being that they're unlimited use? When I first glanced at all the races/classes Krogan Sentinel was the one that made me go "oh s% I want that," so I'm wondering if my first impressions were wrong now. Any further info would be greatly appreciated.
PS I hear a lot of mention of the Krogan Soldier being an absolute beast so I'm also wondering what makes THAT Krogan class better than the Sentinel version (if such is true and anyone can explain why). Thanks again!

That's why I maxed out Rage on my Krogan. HM kill, reg melee kill, go into Rage and you can melee oneshot anything but an Atlas. If you blow fortification in addition to the HM bonus and Rage bonus, you get like +130% melee damage.

My groove is mostly to throw on tech armor, warp+throw detonations at range, run in for a heavy melee if they stagger, continue meleeing anyone nearby if I land the kill.
Not having much luck with setting off my armor's explosion, but then again I haven't levelled that aspect of it. It barely seems to stagger even basic guys and I can count on one hand the amount of kills I've gotten with it.
I do use it right after rezzing guys, to try and give the other player as much of a fighting chance as possible.

Fully aware of what makes the Turian Sentinel great after reading this thread, I've come to wonder about the Krogan Sentinel. Are they not also amazing? I'd think Krogans would be just as tough and durable, and Lift Grenades seem like they'd make for some great occasional CC when needed.

See, that was my thought process too but I see so much mention of Krogan Soldiers ad Turian Sentinels that I've been wondering what's wrong with the Krogan Sentinel lol. I mean I assume they have the same sort of 6th rank Fitness evolution that the Human has throwing another 30% damage reduction on top of what the Tech Armor offers after heavy melee kills, which I also assume they'd be amazing at getting. I dunno...

Pretty sure its just 2 per class stuck in the demo. Maybe my lucks just 'that' bad? I dunno. I got all the weapons but the 5 gold ones to 10, all mods to 10.
Anyways that's what I wanted, Krogan Sentinel. Planned to go 40% DR on Tech Armor, then pure melee via Rage stuff. Ultimately in rage that would be 60% DR, at 1600 shields that comes out to a psuedo 4k shield total heh. Plus mass melee damage potential with 30% constant bonus with Tech Armor on.
Alas it is not to be till the full game. Just pray we can fully customize are skill loadouts cause the current Krogan Sentinel set kinda blows hard for what I want to do.
