So far, I've noticed that all the XP bonuses seem tied into combat, with the exception of the bonus for performing multiple revives. Either killing enemies in specific ways or surviving waves.

I wonder if there shouldn't be bonuses for non-combat feats as well. For example, if you're the player who goes to every comm relay and deactivates it while your teammates are dashing around the grid racking up points shouldn't that be worth an XP bonus? Somethine like FOUR ACTIVATIONS - 500 XP.

Likewise, in target waves, if you manage to take down all four targets shouldn't that be worth an XP bonus? FULL ASSASINATION - 500 XP.

Getting a bit of extra XP for being the squaddie who stays near the terminal while it uploads/downloads data would be nice, too.

Something to reward staying on target.

I second this. Nailing all the objectives by yourself should give you XP.

I guess that wouldn't be so bad but everyone would be on a madrush to get the target kills. Atleast at the moment there is the sense of urgency to get the targets elminated as quickly as possible / active all 4 thingies as soon as possible in order to get the most xp & cash but everyone will do their best to then rush towards the target and do it themselves. Heck you could have 2 people on an activation node fighting to see who hacks it first.

That.. well it sorta promotes selfishness in a way. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of being rewarded, I mean there have been times where I ran around to do the activations while my other 3 friends covered me but if there was an extra reward for it then I think more than one person would be trying to do it.

So yeah, good idea but perhaps in some areas it wouldn't do well. I'd like to get more xp when we get a 'double death shot' in which an enemy is killed with the impact of shots from 2 different players at the same time.

Perhaps an XP award for activating/deactivating a relay that's similar to the XP reward for killing an enemy instead of an end of mission medal?

Yes, objective completion should be tied to XP bonuses.

I am pretty sure you get xp rewards for activating objectives... at least the ones where you have to sit with the omni tool and wait for it to load... I was watching the kill feed the other day and saw something like Shizno Deactivated- 600
or something like that anyways

I'm pretty sure you already get 500 XP (or something) for (de)activating stuff. Don't know about taking out targets, though.
Instead of giving out awards for doing all objectives(what about those who 'only' do three of them on their own) it might be more reasonable to increase XP for each fulfilled objective.

I'd like a special pat on the head for doing a biotic detonation with another player.

Well, then I want a reward for crush-charging frozen enemies!

As long as other players get these exp rewards too. Coop should never favor indivudual effort, but a group effort.

Well, every player always gets the XP earned by the whole team after the match. There is no individual XP, that's the whole point of this MP.^^

I agree deactivating devices should give xp. Moste random people I have met don't care about the devices because it doesn't give xp. offering no back-up or even bother to run for them. Those people often die during the mission interupting the teams rythmn. Yesterday night I ran into those people, where all three of them running like idiots, gunning Cerberus while I was running for the devices taking a lot of fire and have to take cover oce and over again while decoding those damn thing.

And these 500 XP are still yours even if you didn't activate the thing personally since members' XP is added at the end of the match.

The way it is right now at least promotes people covering whoever is activating an objective. Either way no one would care clearing the place.

Deactivating devices does give xp to the tune of about 500-650xp. It's not as much as a skilled player can get killing mobs in that time but at least it's something.

Form my point of view it dosent really matter, the little exp you get would meen nothing really if you cant finish a full set of waves.
Its about teamplay not see mee see mee I got some thing. If one get the objective that good and fine, but if no one helps him while he does that its not fine. Again I have to say its about winning as a team not a single person.

But I think those xp also count in the cumative exp all get.

And doing them helps you not to get mission failed. =]

I wish they could change something on Cryo Freeze so that it does just 1 point of Damage - Because as Infiltrator who plays with cryo spam - I spend most of the time playing support, and assist with probably half of the kills in the match, yet they don't get counted, (and i get crap xp)

so cryo freeze = assist

I think the OP's specific suggestions would not be conducive to cooperative play. You might even get people nudging other players out of range of whatever beacon they're trying to activate. At least when people compete for kills, they're killing stuff fast.

Yeah I agree, completing objectives should definitely have an xp incentive.

I agree that this should get more focus. It drives me crazy when we do the one where we have to hold a circle and my Vanguard is crouched behind cover with his pistol, but I see a Krogan out in the distance charging enemies with his assault rifle. I'm a level 20 - I don't NEED this XP bonus. I'm only holding the line for you guys that are trying to level up. If you'd rather go Rambo yourself some kills, why should I care about holding this line for you to get more XP :-P

Last man standing in a wave, I know there is a Sole Survivor medal for getting extracted alone but I'd like one if you managed to hold a wave on your own when everyone else has died.

Medals for completing objectives solo wouldn't work, I know all exp is shared at the end but this would probably cause reckless behavior with people racing to objectives.

Completing an objective nets you 500 XP. So there is one.

Besides all XP is shared, so what does it matter who gets the job done?

This sort of thing. Experience boosts from co-ordinating with another player, beyond the 'you were both shooting at that guy, have an assist bonus' sort of thing that's already ingame.

Hacking just one of the points should grant you extra exp, too many people rush off to just rake up kills and if doing one gave points it'd give balance to those out of action but still taking part. If it does it should become visible, a pop up like Assist + 500 or something in game to encourage others a bit more.
