You can't ask every class to just rush to the objective through enemies without cleaning the way. That's something that I can do - and that I actually do - on my Salarian Infiltrator, I can always cloak and energy drain if something goes wrong but I do a little of clean up on the other classes I play.
Besides you are still drawing the attention of the enemies away from the target, this is still assisting whoever is working on that objective.
Oh yeah, I'm not saying all players need to run in and get to the hacking. What I mean is that they should at least focus on it. I'm talking about situations where the first station to hack is in the bottom of the room in the white base, but my Krogan team mate is killing engineers in the landing zone

. What is he doing? Now, if we are hacking a computer in the catwalk above the landing zone, then by all means, do what you do you crazy Krogan

.
But more specifically it drives me crazy when we have to hold the circle position for a while. I try hard to stay in it even as a Vanguard. I leave it here and there, but only for a short range charge and I come right back (and only with good reason, like I need ammo or a squad of Guardians is closing in). But then I see team mates either on the other side of the map or even just out a bit from the circle. What are they doing? They're costing the whole team XP in that case, because you get more XP for having more people in the circle.
