After playing ME1, ME2, the DLC and even the iphone game, I am very attached to my Shephard save games.
BUT, yesterday my PC crashed and everything was erased. I have used a recovery program to save my files from being destroyed, but the directories and programs are all gone. Now I need to find that ME2 final save file. What are ME2 final saves called? Maybe I can find the correct file if it has been recovered.
If I can rescue my file, how do I import it into ME3? I'm sure it will need to be in a specific folder that I no longer have.
HELP! I need to recover my ME2 save!

There is not a final save like in ME1, there are simply flags set past SM that allow import. So the saves look just like all the others but will be the last in number counting up. It should have been in the C:User/documents/Bioware/MassEffect2/Saves folder and that is the location it needs to be put back.

thanks! What is the file called? Does it have an extension? If so, I think I can save it and put it back in the right place.

its filename will either be AutoSave.pcsav, or Save_0001.pcsav depending how many manual saves you have done.
