Why are you asking me? It was their idea. Maybe they were going to make it DLC. All I know is that's what I heard. It was a year or so ago, so I don't remember where I got the info. But it was definitely from Bioware themselves.

I think you have the wrong idea of what "new game plus" means. It just means being able to start the campaign again with the same character and keep the level, items, weapons, etc., you've earned playing that character through once already.

Money wise, that would be a bad idea for business since players would just have to buy Mass Effect 3 and get all of it without buy the other games. Bad for profit.

Possibility wise, that is the dumbest thing I ever heard, do you know how long that would keep this game waiting? It took long enough to do this with Halo CEA but 2 other games? Not only that, but Mass Effect games which are far more massive then Halo? You've got to be kidding me. Where ever you got that information from, I'm going to have to say you've been dooped. The amount of disc that would be needed for this would just be outrageous.

The game took long enough, and I thought it was because of this. Like, they were adding things, etc. And no, it wouldn't lose them money, because they could also do it as full on DLC.

And really, could you honestly complain if they had it all remastered? Do you really care that much? Or, would you rather just have your game, so you can play it?

I know what New Game Plus means. For this circumstance, this is what Bioware said they were doing.

But can you provide a quote from a source fx. A link to an article or the issue number of a magazine etc.

Otherwise all we have is you saying they did, and since the idea is so ridiculous, it's not that strange people assume you're trolling.

No they didn't. Bioware said there will be a New Game + option that is, functionally, a mix of ME1 NG+ and ME2 NG+. You misundestood what they said.

The OP is not trolling.

He is, however, wrong. Bioware never stated this. OP, you obviously misinterpreted something Bioware said - they have never even hinted at the idea of a new game+ mode that includes all three games remastered.

Haha. Funny because it's true.

There can simply be no other reason.

We wouldn't be getting the game in march if this were true. White Knight Chronicles II included WKC1 remastered with the changes for WKC2. But there are a few reasons for this:

One: WKC is PS3 only and on Blu-Ray, so they had more disc rokm.

Two: WKC used nowhere near the entire disc.

Three: WKCII uses a lot of resources from WKC so it didn't add that much more resources use solely by the second game.

Mass Effect, on the other hand, is on more than just PS3 and as many discs as it would take is most likely not feasible.

The only resources all three games would share at minimum is the character creation options and most likely, the class and squad powers. To share more resources, they would have to remake the first two games entirely.

I don't know, maybe they might release patches for the first two games to update the graphics and the character creator or even to make the powers the same as ME3. But if they do, it probably won't happen for at least a few months.

Thank you.

However, as I said, this was a year ago, and I remember being quite excited at the idea. I do remember reading it over too, just to make sure I wasn't wrong. Obviously it doesn't help my case that I don't have the source, but I tried to avoid the forums as much as I could. I spoilt DA2 too much for myself, which is why I've only come back here recently, and only to clarify a few points I was curious about, since I haven't played in some time. At any rate, this is what I remember them saying. Maybe it didn't  go viral enough, but I remember it being said.

if they really did say what your saying it would have blown up, like we have all said before, you have just misunderstood, there is no way they can have all three games on one dvd

Why do people assume that because someone asks a question that you think isn't possible, that they're automatically a troll?

Disks can carry a lot of info. Who are they to say that they couldn't cut down the space it would take. They've done it for larger games too. Skyrim comes to mind. Witcher 2 is bigger than Skyrim.

Because what you are saying is bonkers, how/why would this be? where would they find the time? they've spent ages on 3 its not as if they are going to have time to do the other two

It's not one DVD though. It's two. And again, are you guys seriously going to cut down an idea, all because you don't think it can be done? Where are the people who, even though hesitant, LIKE the idea? I mean, c'mon!

Would be nice to hear from a Dev at this point.

no we are cutting down your "idea" because the devs have not said this and they wouldnt do it. You have no proof of what you claim, no quote to give us, nothing. You have misunderstood what the devs said and now think your right when your not, just accept the fact that you were wrong and move on, its simple

On a related note, I have heard we're getting DLC so that you can play the game in first person - it will ofcourse apply to all installments in the franchise.

I read it somewhere about a year ago, I have absolutely no scources, but I vividly recall reading it over and over to be sure.

Dunno why OP felt like continuing this. What you describe has never been said by any dev EVER. The entire concept is fairly close to impossible. The ME team was scrambling to finish ME3. They worked crazy hours during crunch. The idea that they would then spend thousands more hours recreating all the content for ME1 & ME2, is ridiculous.

And it cannot be restated enough, but this was NOT EVER discussed. You clearly misunderstood something that was said. No one else in this thread or the one last night is playing a trick on you. It just didn't happen.
