what the OP said is not happening....

yet

if Bioware published a Mass Effect trilogy with updated graphics and ME3 gameplay for the whole run I would legit drop happily 150 dolnlars on it no question asked

You sir, and/or mam, are awesome. If this had been posted earlier, the thread might have gone a very different direction. That's all I really wanted. A discussion on it. I would too totally drop 150 bucks for said creation. :D

If you hard started the thread with that premise , you would have gotten the discussion you claim to want.

So yes. Even though what your'e suggesting is basically impossible, it would be awesome, and I would also pay $150 for it.

I wouldn't say it's impossible. They really only would need to redo the first two games,

You make that sound so simple. They'd pretty much have to gut ME1's gameplay from the ground up in order to make it work.

I wouldn't say it's impossible. They really only would need to redo the first two games, as the third one is all the improvements already. And hey, if you're an Elder Scrolls fan, most of us waited 5 years for the next installment. :)

they were too busy making the third installment and didn't have time to go back and work on the first 2, and if they do make a re-make say like in 10 years or so, they would have to remake all 3 games to match "current" sttandards with "current" consoles

i don't think re-making a game is as easy as you think, Halo Anniversary wasn't an "easy" re-make, they had to take time and update just about everything, from character models, to physics, to sound, its not just cut-and-paste

Remastering ME2 would be a lot of work, but not impossible. Remastering ME1 might actually be impossible. The mechanics have evolved a lot, and the engine is different enough to cause immense problems.

Yeah, I guess I can see what you mean there. I bought that comic DLC that came along with ME2, just to replay 2 for a bit, and make ME1 choices, but I found myself disappointed with so few choices.

I suppose I should have expected that. When I played ME2, it said my parents were killed on the citadel. I thought I missed a quest or something, and was hoping to redo some things like meeting them, etc.

To OP: I do not think your a troll, but some evidence would really help your argument. (link, ect.)
People will never believe your argument unless you have proof.

you never meet your parents (dead parents-mindoir, no parents-earth, "living" parents-Alliance Navy), maybe you might meet your mom but i doubt it

It just made me feel bad. Like, when I picked my past, I said they were alive and that I was a war hero, only to find out in the second game that they died via news feed. I was like, what? I couldn't do anything? I must have missed something. =/

Earthborn and Colonist both have dead parents. Spacer has a mom in the Alliance.

are you sure it was in that playthrough? (note - i only play ME2 with imported characters from ME1 so maybe some "missing" dialogue for me)

Genesis sometimes messes things up, but Spacer has a mother who you actually talk to.

I only played through ME series once. I don't remember talking to my mother at all, but according to the wiki, that's an option. So, I must have missed something, because when I went to the space station where you get Garrus, etc, the news that plays aloud as you walk around stated she was killed.

I went with Colonist War Hero. Because My Shepard went through the sorrow of loosing everyone close to him but takes out entire armies of Batarians still. That's what I call true awesomeness.

really? you can talk to your mother in ME1 and do the "little side-quest" for each origin story (Spacer, Colonist, Earth-born)

do you remember hearing that "Hannah Shepard turned down an Admiral star blah blah . . . ." when you visit the Citadel, also did you recieve a message from your mother when your checking your mail on the Normandy?
