Image?

I swear there wasn't an Alliance Dreadnought in that trailer. I saw Alliance Cruisers, some Turian Cruisers and Alliance/Turian fighters as well as the Normandy. Plus the trailer takes place on Earth. A Dreadnought wouldn't enter atmosphere for a number of reasons.
The biggest one being that firing the main gun in atmosphere would result in catastrophic damage to the ship itself and the surrounding area. There are also many other reasons as to why a Dreadnought won't enter atmosphere but I believe that has been discussed to death in another topic about the Cruiser (Dreadnought) in the demo

I think he's confusing the Normandy because in the shot over the fields where there are small alliance fighters (1:17) - the Normandy looks gigantic.

No I'm talking about the short scene around 1:10 where you see a fleet of mixed ships including cruisers and bigger ships as well as some turian ships.

I just checked they are all in atmo meaning those are cruisers with the Normandy flying above them

That wasn't an Alliance Dreadnought in that trailer its was a cruiser the dev's said it was a mistake since they recorded the VO before the art works got in place. so just take it as a cruiser named as Deadnought.

Pretty sure they're all cruisers, not because they're in atmosphere, dreadnoughts can do that too, but if they were dreadnoughts, the Normandy would've looked much smaller in comparison, regardless of it being in the foreground.

They do look a lot bigger than the "standard" cruisers. Mayby they'r heavy cruisers, besides they look difrent as well. Cuz the cruisers have two potrusions in the front.

Edit: 1:17 into the video you clearly see the ships both the cruisers and normandy. As  wel as the dreadknought with the 2 lights under it and a bigger thicker upperhalf.

Maybe this will help.

Blue = Normandy SR2

Red = Standard Alliance Cruiser

Purple = Dreadnought   (The Art of Mass Effect shows an image of these next to a standard Alliance Cruiser and they would seem to be about twice the size. So yes, I would call these Dreadnoughts)

Nice presentation. Makes sense, looks like they are definitely built around their main guns.

That looks about right. The cruisers have the two main gun barrels sticking out the front while the dreadnoughts don't. Still, that does seem to be a lot more dreadnoughts than they would commit to entering the atmosphere. I mean, the Alliance only has 8 dreadnoughts, and theres like 4 in the trailer.

none of them are Dreadnoughts. i see fighters, interceptors ,Cruisers and Frigates
Dreadnoughts are so large that it is impossible to safely land them on a planet, and must discharge their drive cores into the magnetic field of a planet while in orbit

I don't know if I counted right but yeah I would seem they changed the lore. Sinds the ME1 lore states that they "can't" enter atmo sinds they can't exit it. Besides a dreadnought is basicly a flying canon, and that can't be fired in atmo for it whould severely damage the planet.

I'm not sure they are dreadnoughts you know.  Seeing this photo I took from the demo the ship I circled in orange I think is the dreadnought with  a standard cruiser circled for comparison.

They could be new line of cruisers aswell, just bigger than their older counterparts. But I can't believe any dreanought would enter in atmospehre, especially in tight formation, perhaps only in emergency.

Even if they could, it would be stupid to commit a dreadnought to an atmospheric attack. They are not very maneuverable and fire their main guns off from stand off range.

Also, the larger ships basically are in a battle of heat buildup. You cannot dissipate heat in ~60 degree atmosphere as fast as sub-zero vaccum of space.

I do not think we have seen a dreadnought quite yet...

From the size of it, I'm sorry, but it is a dreadnought. As for the other type mentioned above, we know there are atleast 2 classes of Systems Alliance Dreadnought.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were dreadnoughts.

They absolutely are. Whether it makes sense to have them in the atmo or not. I mean this is the same trailer where Shep attacks a Brawlers with nothing but an Omni-blade. Realism not the top priority here.

They are exactly as a Dreadnaught is described. A ship build around one long gun.

The ship in orange looks like a standard cruiser, the profile with the antennas at the front is spot-on.

And Rodder is right, the ships circled in purple in his picture match Alliance ships shown in The Art of the Mass Effect Universe which are larger than Alliance cruisers. These larger ships are most likely dreadnoughts.
