What do these acctually do. I'm sure they make the weapon better but by how much does each one improve the weapon in all catigories do only some things get better? There seems to be no way to copare my version V assault rifle vs the version I so I can't tell the difference.

The only thing I've ever really notice it do is reduce the weapon's weight.

I think if you look at the weapon load screen after you get it, you can see little green bars that show you the increase in damage/capacity etc.

They decrease weight and increase damage, I think.

Are you referring to the combat ones? or the actual gun?
The actual gun you can tell a huge difference between a level 1 and level 10, My Mantis X does significantly more damage now and doesnt weigh as much.
The combat upgrade for the round....not sure how much that helps

A dev posted they increase damage, ammo and reduce weight. I know I saw it but won't put a source because I don't remember where.
