Well this is really strange but my laptop will totally shut off during the demo. I also can not open the first door with Anderson to go forward and it will not open the med kit in the room. Any ideas to why this is happening? After it shuts down the laptop I have to wait about 2 mintues before I can turn it back on. I have had it just go black then would have to rmove all power and let it sit for about 2 mintues before turning it back on.
pc shuts off playng demo

Whole computer shutting down randomly especially when playing games indicates hardware failing, mostly because of overheat. Probably your cooling is failing, have you checked your temperatures while you are playing?

You better go get a pc technic and tell him about the problem, before the laptop gets worse

You need to download software to check it, like Real Temp.

I tried speed temp. and I am running hot. GPU: 181F, HDO: 109F, TEMP: 136F, CORE O: 115F,
CORE 1: 118F. I cleaned the fan but it is still hot.

Looks to me like your Laptop cannot handle the game and is overheating. The motherboard will shut off the computer when it reaches critical temps to try and prevent everything from melting.
I did have this problem before, it turned out to be overheating and when i fixed that I also found that my power supply was not working properly.

Are you playing any other as system demanding games? Does ME 2 work without issues?
I don't really know how much heat laptops usually can take compared to desktops, but that might be too hot.

Underclocking system would prevent system to heat as much, if you know how to do that.

I found alot of mods out there to fix the overheating. This is a Asus G60Vx It has always been able to play any game I want until lately. Some even suggest that the thermal paste has dried up. I don't know but will try about everything then I'll have to finally have to break down and get a desktop to play the game most likely ha!
