I would be a trader, working on a trade ship myself at first but slowly working my way up to my own ship. After I get my own ship i would expand my fleet using ships from secondhand Volus ship dealers to ultimately have one bigger then the flotilla and be able to say to everyone "See that item? I transported it here."

MoltenRock, let me tell you...having written the above, today is one of those days that I regret that my imagination tends to run in pictures, not words.  I've already figured out how the husk spikes would factor in.

This is the best idea I've heard yet. It would be nice to be on some tiny moon, sitting on my porch with a view of a small pond or something. Enjoying my recent bountiful harvest and eating lots of chips a hoy white fudge dipped in milk
