I'm probably missing something obvious here but I just downloaded Origin for the first time for the ME3 demo and DAII is listed under my games - I can download it from Origin.

How come? I have a boxed copy and have never used Origin before. None of my other Bioware games are on Origin (DA:O, ME2 etc.)

As I say, I've never used Origin before and my only EA account is this BSN one. This isn't a complaint I just don't know why I seem to have a copy of DAII linked to BSN and another one to Origin.

Origin is your new EA account. So the account you're posting on now has DA2 registered on it, that's why it shows up on Origin.
There is a good chance the games you own and have registered on you account will appear on Origin.
For example I have dead space 2 on steam, it appeared on origin a few days ago as well. The Sims 3 just showed up out of the blue too.

OK, but what I don't understand is what differentiates DAII from DA:O and ME2 as they're all tied to BSN but only DAII is on Origin. It's as if my BSN account and EA account only have partial overlap even though they're the same account.

Thanks for your help.

As I said I just had Dead Space 2 added to it not a week ago, and the Sims 3 showed up about 2 days ago. I also don't have DA:O, Awakening, ME1 or 2 and so on.
I did wonder why ME2 wasn't up yet, I figured it was because DA2 was newer but then sims3 shouldn't be there at all.
Seeing as Origin is still in beta, I'm guessing it's a gradual process. That's why I said there is a good chance more and more of your games will pop up on it.

If the games are not on Origin and, you own the disk version, you may need to activate the digital versions at activate.ea.com - just be sure you use the email address associated with your EA (Origin) account to do so.

You would not need to download the digital version unless you wished to uninstall the disk versions and install the digital, thus eliminating the need for a disk to launch the games, but requiring an internet connection instead.
