But this is merely meant as a slight at this topic. And I have no patience for that.

Wha.....?

Jeez, this is a game, why the heck can't people just keep it in their pants for goodness sake?

BUT if they are allowed to have a 'gay' group, well...then i guess it's on for ME3 Dating Services.  Soooooooo Commander Shephard is here to save the day!  Any anything else you might need help with. Image IPBImage IPB

The problem with some gay people is that they want others to loudly voice their approval to them, all the time.

Warning: Any more posts questioning the validity of this group or that it has no right or reason to exist will be flagged as spam. If you don't agree with the groups goal don't join it and move on.  That message has been also seconded by moderators on this forum.

The hypocrisy is palpable! :P

That's where one specific mod messed up. They are suppose to be impartial and enforce the rules. Instead one gave their approval to a memeber in general and now they are walking around like they can do no evil and anything that they say is blashphemy is just that. I plan to let the BioWare staff know about said mod and ask since when it is their role to publicly take sides.

If they for some reason would find it inappropriate, I will modify the thread to conform to whatever standards they set.

I am still conducting this regardless, looking for female heterosexual gamers to join me on the battlefronts, bisexual is acceptable as well, since its this dynamic which I am interested in.

I give full permission to moderators to just directly modify my openning post if they feel it necessary, however it seems perfectly appropriate to me (although I concede this is Bioware's site and they can do a they please).

What I don't get is how you can tell someone's sexual preference in a video game...I mean seriously. Even if you have a Mic and you're talking back and forth the entire game, how the heck do you know the other guys are gay? And what the heck difference does it make anyway? Seriously.

My post was a warning that mods have been notified to monitor this not saying I have judged it one way or the other as that is not my place. I do however find that even if I would desire to join the OP has specifically said I would be unable to do so whereas I had not shut a single individual out that requested to this date. Also the validity remark was because my specific post had been mod approved (more than one) and the subject of validity no longer mattered. Now I am asking for the same on this one to lay to rest that argument on this post.

Right, he/she gave you approval. So now you think anything you find that goes against your liking must be inappropiate and must be reported. The mod that posted that in your thread clearly doesn't understand how to do their job, and I'm already making it a point to get in touch with said lead-mod. Just to be clear I don't think it's your fault or the OP's fault for this situation that has been created. It was the mods fault and they should be held accountable.

Well isn't that kind of the point? I mean you have limitations on who you let into your group as well? Don't they have to have a similiar mindset to you?

This is the problem with having any group with barriers. When do those barriers become discriminatory?

Why is one group with barriers okay but another not okay?

I'm confused what am I shutting out? Aside from Staindgrey's unecessary hate towards me.

I mean technically I'm working on honor system here, since it is the internet I have no means of confirming whether male or female and sexual orientation. And I'm not running a group, other than my friends list.

I don't understand why people do stuff like this... Whenever I play with anyone who I know to be a girl, nothing changes. I'm still playing with a person, they're just of a different gender and it would offend them to be rude enough to start conversation due only to the fact that they're a woman. It's even more saddening when someone else decides to be sexist, and then I get pulled into the argument for telling the guy to stop feeding the stereotype which so many people are trying to be rid of these days...

Back to the matter at hand: OP, stop posting stuff like this, turn off your screen, and sit and contemplate on why you're doing this and what you will ever gain from trying to woo women on the internet.

Thank you, sir. I love those rare instances when common sense appears on the internet. It's almost like seeing a unicorn.

If you're good at the game, I'll want to be on your team. I honestly couldn't give less of a f*ck about anyone's personal lives. End of story.

No the the blame for the spectacle lies solely with Bioware.

At the end of the day I don't care about the LGBT group (didn't even read the thread) but if you officially (and no matter how you slice it it's official) approve it then other people are going to ask for their own exclusive groups.

Then you start getting into value judgements on which groups you allow and which you don't.

So stupid Bioware.

"Tolerance" cuts both ways.

If Bioware is tolerating your exclusive group, then they have to tolerate the opposing exclusive group, otherwise that isn't tolerance, that is itself a form of discrimination.

Why do you have to troll people based on their sexual orientation? Why don't you just go right on over to foxnews if you want to find other hate-mongerers.

It is needed because a group that is the subject of many derogatory remarks over say voice chat wouldn't mind being in a group of like-minded individuals who will not berate or belittle or ruin the game for others just because of a slight difference.  Obviously in a perfect world I would not even have needed nor wanted to propose a group without the need being their due to this being something we have to deal with in today's world. Now I am not saying this group of mine couldn't run into instances that the group has sought to avoid but it drastically cuts down on them and will create a friendly environment.  Honestly no matter who they are I want everyone to be able to enjoy this great game no matter who they are or what they believe or any other difference they may have because for what people pay to experience the game and what they seek out of it should NEVER be hindered or subject to the whims of another individual seeking to ruin that. Simply put walk a mile in the shoes of those who have to seek this safehaven and then and only then will you understand until then you never will.

I couldn't agree any F-ing more. I've sent an email not to long ago outlinging what you basically said, and asked for action to be taken against said mod even if it is a stern talking to. I can't believe someone who has the title of mod, would do something so careless and not expect it to cause problems.

For shame.

If anything you should get a warning or possibly banned as this mod approval apparently gave you a soapbox to rant about gay rights. This is bordering on religious debate imo and should be stopped. Apparently you just don't know when to stop and since a mod has publicly endorsed you, you think you won't be stopped.
