You talking about "Tolerating Intolerance," which has nothing to do with what I said, and you know it.  I am talking about treating all people fairly, gay or straight, black or white.  Nowhere did I mention 'tolerating intolerance.'

To demonstrate what I mean,  if you have a group of 5 people, choosing to treat only 2 of those people 'fairly' because they are somehow different will create tension between those 2 people and 3 people that are not being treated with the same level of consideration as the other 2.  So, in order to create harmony, you treat all 5 of those people the same.

Did I try to rationalize this fellow's post?  If you look at the first page, I was initially mocking him for it, and then when I saw that this was a response to another thread, you will see that I am of the mindset where I don't like any group with barriers.

So while you're implying that I harbor some kind of resentment or intolerance,  I'm actually saying that these kinds of groups, no matter who they are aimed at, have no place in this setting, when in fact it's you that supports exlcusive groups with barriers.

Since you've admitted to arguing for the sake of arguing; in effect trolling, I have nothing else to say to you.   Bioware is making the right decision here, and this thread will probably get squashed by an intelligent mod, followed by bans for trolls.

You don't help a group find acceptance by insulating it from the rest of society.  You don't find acceptance by baring oneself from the larger community.  This form of 'ad hoc' segregation does not work, it only creates tension.

Gay friendly group, females only group, whatever. If you don't qualify just leave. It's a multiplayer group. They don't have to include you. That's why the kick function exists. It doesn't effect your gameplay. There's plenty of other people to play with folks. Find some that you jive with and get to playing.

Ideally find a group of people who couldn't care less about sexuality or whatnot and call it a day.

I implore all those posting on this thread as well as mine to limit responses at this time and in the future to wishing to join or not join as if the OP on this one is sincere and if the mods agree then it is his right to form a group, however if it is only a blatant attempt at mockery then that is not for us to decide but the powers that be. This will be my final post on this thread as I wish to not add fuel to the fire and also wish to not derail what could be a genuine interest in forming a gaming group. The end.

This is getting ridiculous... How cares whether you are gay or straight when playing a Co-Op multiplayer game? Your race, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, and nationality should not make any difference to a gameplay experience. The only time it should matter at all is if there is someone in your squad that is saying abusive things over voice chat. And if they are report them or just don't play with them.

We really don't need to argue about crap like this. Just squad up and play the game.

@themaxzero - actually, America does support "white only" groups... the KKK and Neo-**** groups have no small foothold in many parts of the country.

It's interesting that the same people who think that "gay/women/black/whatever" groups are so tired and annoying... don't ever seem to speak out against groups like that.

Whatever the case - I'll play with anyone, some of my closest friends are heterosexual... I feel bad for them, being obsolete in this day and age - their sole unique function can be duplicated in a lab now. Ahh well - at least they have mob mentality to fall back on.
