It's interesting that the same people who think that "gay/women/black/whatever" groups are so tired and annoying... don't ever seem to speak out against groups like that.

The funny thing is as a dedicated Libertarian I would like nothing more for equal rights for homosexuals. Hence why you don't see me in the LGBT thread complaining. People should be free to make their own gaming groups on a criteria they see fit.

No, it is that they are heterosexual, and thus have that attraction to me as a male that intrigues me, I've had a lesbian girl as a friend on steam, we got a long well, but her demearnor towards me and how we talk is different than my heterosexual female friends on steam (shes just one of the guys to me). I was BSN has a high proportion of females and logically thought this would be a good move.

As an aside, I've been playing the game while all you people have been intent on ruining my thread, bravo BSN, bravo, I almost want to make a new thread now.

Really, in using that as an example for the current discussion, in which we all seem to debating tolerance and how to achieve it, I don't mean to be offensive, but you're actually displaying a nearly offensive level of ignorance of the Civil Rights movement in the USA.

The Ku Klux Klan was formed in the wake of the American Civil War, with certain wings acting as nearly para-military groups, and others acting as the political entities that most people are now familiar with.  The Klan's motives were striticly hate-orientated, with roots in the South's defeat in the war.

The Klan, and the mentality it represented, is a perfect example of the tension that segregation, and the segregationist mindset breeds, and that's why it is so important to understand that segregation is not an answer to achieving fair tolerance.  The only thing that is not to be tolerated, is intolerance itself.
