When using it to install .dazip files, it crashes shortly after starting to install, all the time.

Any fix?

I had to shutdown steam entirely before being able to run the program.

Ofcause that will only work if you have the steam version :D

Mine does that aswell. You can however work around it.

Rename your dazip files into a zip file, and extract it to C:\\Users\\[user name]\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns

Go into settings and open the "AddIns.xml" file. copy paste the "Manifest.xml" from the mod your installing into it. Not all of it, but the part under and all the way down, to (only copy the later with it)

save and you mod should now be working.

Hard part is finding the Manifest though :( since they are not always in the zip file.

It's funny that there's a log, but if the installation actually fails, it hangs, and you can no longer check the log or save it or use it to track down potential issues.

No. Wait. That's not funny at all.

How do you rename it to a zip file?

Still no fix for this. Feeling a bit left out in the cold here.

me too...while there might be workarounds I really would like to find a fix for the program itself. Its almost as frustrating as dealing with the memory leak

Do you put the Manifest into the settings folder with the addins.xml or into the addins.xml cause i cant edit anythin in the addins.xml

We have no idea what you're talking about. Me, I and myself are all perfectly healthy, unproductive members of society.

The open it as a zip file worked for me, alas I sadly join the group of people with a busted daupdater.
