On my engineer today, upon stunning an assault trooper with an overload, I proceeded to slam it with an incinerate. Not thinking anything of it at the time I looked down at the combat log and was suprised to see that the trooper died from a "Tech Detonation." (Or something to that effect, I may be a tad off on the wording)
Has anyone have something similar happen or know what this does?

I believe you're talking about "Tech Burst" (although, I could be wrong). This is similar to biotic explosions, just the tech side of things.
At least, that's my common sense, but I could be wrong.

I can't remember the exact combo but I think I did a Vanguard charge to somebody helplessly floating in a singularity and there was a large explosion; is this a valid detonation combo? I'm sure the combos will be documented at some point.

It's true, there are different tech combos. I think it's not anywhere near as powerful as a biotic explosion (obviously) but it does do extra damage and a small burst.

I get kills with it all the time but I still have no idea what these "Tech Burst" things are or how I trigger them.

From what I can tell tech bursts do almost, if not just the same, damage as biotic combos. It seems like they also can spread the CC side effects of the tech powers, like bursting a frozen enemy will give a chance to freeze nearby enemies that the ice chucks hit, and bursting an enemy stunned by overload can cause sparks to jump to other nearby enemies stunning them. I'm not sure what all combos are possible. I'm really hoping you can blow up a frozen enemy with overload though so a sentinel can set up their own tech combos.

If you set someone on fire then overload them they explode like a grenade. I assume this is a tech burst.

Is there a list of all compo detonation possibilities? The biotic ones are quite easy to "comprehend", but the tech ones arent quite clear, and I've heard there are 2 other types of combo detonations in the game (I mean apart from tech and biotic)

Overload + throw sets off a tech burst which is very strong against geth. Asari Adepts are the best at triggering combos because throw triggers pretty much everything and with the reset powers ability speced you can instantly throw a warp or statis after the combo helping other players out.

Electric combo's are in the middle for damage but can be easily pulled off. Cryo and flame bursts only happen when the target is killed by that particular ability.

There are four different types of explosive power combos. Biotic, Electric/Tech, Flame/Incendiary, and Cryo combos. Each type of power combo needs a source power, which leave a longer lasting effect on an enemy (Pull, Cryo Blast, Travel, ect.) And a detonating power. Detonating powers generally deal high damage or force (Carnage, Incinerate, Warp, ect.). Most powers can be a source, a detonator, or both so there are many combinations. I know of a few of each, but I haven't seen a full list yet.
Biotic: Pull then warp. (explosion affects enemies around the target)
Electrical/Tech: Overload then Concussive Shot. (explosion affects Shields and unprotected enemies
around the target)
Flame/Incinerate: Incinerate then Carnage. (explosion affects armors and unprotected enemies
around the target)
Cryo:Cryo ammo with Biotic Charge. (explosion chills enemies around target slowing them down)
So combinations of the first longer lasting effect with whatever detonating power will result in an explosion of the first power used.....usually. I haven't tried different powers together to see if they cause explosions yet, but I'm sure there are some that will work together efficiently. If you are on silver or gold work together in combining powers with your teammates to cause these explosions so you can affect areas of enemies instead of one at a time. If anyone has more power combos (causing explosions) please list them as well. We could get a list started here first of the four different types. Thanks.

Oops. Sorry guys I should have spaced more between the powers, but I'm on my tablet and it's hard to judge how the end result will look.

No idea if this is entirely accurate but this table form of the combos was easier to read than the BSN thread:
