Hey everyone, finally getting around to starting the mass effect series, and I'm a little ways into ME1.

Should I install it to the HDD? Is there any significant improvement?

I know that ME1 was made around 2007, and so was Halo 3, and when you installed Halo 3, there were more problems than solutions, so I'm just wondering.

I installed it to HDD back when I had a 360, didn't have any noticeable effect aside from quieting the system.

I installed the game to my 360's hard drive on my original playthrough. In addition to it running quieter, I also noticed decreased loading times and texture pop in.

You should install it as at least it will give your DVD drive an easier time, besides your XBox has a hard drive so you might as well use it. You can always delete the install later on once you complete it to free up space. I would keep your commander though if you intend to get the rest of the ME series as all the choices you made in ME1 will have consequences for ME2 and later on, ME3.
