History says I'll probably be annoyed by this scene. Shepard tends to act like a prat or a ranting loon, and the Council tend to have the idiot ball.

The similar in style scene with the defence committee hasn't filled me with confidence.

I think I'm in minority but I actually liked alien Council and have no resentment towards them.

It's just the turian who I love to hate. The other two, and especially the salarian, are more reasonable.

Sadly, this is what I think will happen too.  Having recently replayed ME1, the council certainly had every right to dismiss Shepard's claims, because s/he did sound like a raving lunatic.  "I saw a really fast, blurred slideshow and heard a myth about some big mean machine-aliens!  Quick, everyone panic!"
