I think I'm in minority but I actually liked alien Council and have no resentment towards them.

It's just the turian who I love to hate. The other two, and especially the salarian, are more reasonable.

I actually found the salarian to be very unreasonable, but he does come across as more polite than Valern.

I bet they will just say: "Oh, earth was attacked by the Geth!"

And brush it off.

The game won't give me the latitude to do what I want.

"As a Spectre, one is expected to have enthusiasms. Let's talk about enthusiasm. Enthusiasm. What draws my admiration? What is it that which gives me joy? Baseball! (walks around council chamber around the council) A man. A man stands alone at the plate. This time for what? For individual achievement. Bats for himself the livelong day. But on the field? What? Part of a team. Looks, throws, catches. Part of one big team. Sunny day, stands are full of fans, what does he say. 'I'm going out there for myself, but I get nowhere unless the team wins.' (stops behind Turian councilor and shoots him in the head). (Renegade +100)

Seems we're missing a Turian representative. Garrus, would you mind representing the Turians for this vote? And do we have a unanimous approval of Garrus representing the Turians? All in favor? Good.

Id crap my pants and do a sealclap if I got this option.

But if the dialogue vs the councill/tribuneral is any indication of the level of interaction Ill have with the councill, Ill likely be pidgeonholed into "do it yourself" and having to listen to yet another lame excuse afterwards about how the councill couldnt trust me and I should undestand their position. Not a word about them undestanding my position, respecting my rank and the implicit trust they should put in me as a Spectre or anything of the sort.

Ill do whatever it takes to put the entire Turian race in harms way because of their concillor. Too bad Garrus.

I didn't save the Destiny Ascension, but I wasn't doing the renegade thing. The "focus on Sovereign!" thing, you know?

I really doubt the game will make any distinction though :( They didn't in ME2.

If by "going to the Council" you mean throwing a data pad with a picture of a Reaper destroying Vancouver in the turian councilor's face, then sure.

Turian Councilman: "Shepard, quick! Palavan is being attacked by the Reapers! We need you to go cure the genophage so the krogans will agree to help us drive them off!"

Shepard: "Ah yes, 'Reapers'..."

Lol, this is the only way I would be satisfied.

Otherwise, I think we will probably be hearing the phrase "geth attack" more than we would like to.

I'm always paragon, always. But if they bring up some crap about "geth attacks", I will throw a damn YMIR Mech at the Council's perch!

I understand the Alien council's "Cold hard evidence" way of thinking.

But that is what makes them seem like jerks. They never open their eyes without some sort of evidence first.

History says I'll probably be annoyed by this scene. Shepard tends to act like a prat or a ranting loon, and the Council tend to have the idiot ball.

The similar in style scene with the defence committee hasn't filled me with confidence.

Sadly, this is what I think will happen too.  Having recently replayed ME1, the council certainly had every right to dismiss Shepard's claims, because s/he did sound like a raving lunatic.  "I saw a really fast, blurred slideshow and heard a myth about some big mean machine-aliens!  Quick, everyone panic!"

Yeah, great job there buddy.

Yeah, I could understand theirs and Udina's point of view in ME1, I even saved them and put Udina on the council... in ME2 they're just total idiots though, and that exchange with them make me go completely pro-Cerberus after telling them to shove their Spectre offer.

They'll just say this is a human matter and the council cannot be involved and endanger the citadel. Or say that they can't do anything and leave the citadel defenseless. Either way they won't help you.

Okay, but when the skies darken over Palaven don't come crying to me.

Of course this is IF the original council was saved.

I'm 'kinda' hopeful that with Earth being in Council space, and a human now as a councilor....that something more favorable 'MAY' come from them. I don't care if they want to call the Reaper invasion another Geth attack or not.........Just, as Udina so emphatically stated in ME1, "Send in your Fleets!!!!"
