Hey guys, I've been going through ME1 again to try and get all the achievements before ME3 comes out (I already have all of them in ME2). Everytime I try to play on Hardcore and the save the game and come back the difficulty has been changed back to Normal. Even if I go and change the level back to hardcore in the main menu, when I load up my save game, the difficult has switched back to normal. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I had the same problem.
Import your Shepard. Change difficulty.Save game.Exit game.Start game.Load save.
I hope it will work.
It worked for Me.
