Ok so been racking up the final hours of my last me2 canon playthroughs but I want to know; when the actual save file is transferred over to me3 is there a fixed point in the playthrough where all data is stored up to that point?

Like in me1 where after defeating saren the save file was locked and ready for imports (sort of) and in case of me2 after the suicide mission is completed? Or is it the case that so long as the suicide mission is completed then any additional progress after that is added to the save file import so for example after completing suicide mission I could just simply finish off dlc quests and sidequests in game since the save file i'm working on is a full canon one e.g every single sidequest, every single variable: major and minor.

If someone could help me answer this it would really help me a lot.

I don't know what this is asking, but if you have any other choices from quests that you made after the suicide mission, the choices will carry over. For example, the last DLC for ME2 (forgot the name) carries over to ME3, which people have done after beating the game.

Thats good to know about the dlc carrying over post suicide mission but I want to know if any side quests you do e.g N7 Missions, Stuff on the citadel, Illium side quests e.t.c carry over after completing the suicide mission in addition to everything you did prior to the suicide mission or does it come down to you have to do every side quest before the last mission for the choices to carry over into ME3

I don't know for sure, but if it in some way impacts the story of ME3 it should carry over. Don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure I am correct.

Ok thanks for that if anything goes I'll just ride my luck to see how it turns out on release day.
