My processor is an Intel Core i5-2320, 3Ghz. I have 6 GB of DDR3 RAM @ 665 Mhz. I have a Radeon HD 6450 with 1GB of VRAM, it uses a VGA connector(My system has an integrated Intel HD graphics unit, and apparently I have close to 4 GB of VRAM, don't know how that works). Direct X version is Direct X 11. My OS is Windows 7 64 Bit.
Video Driver: aticfx64.dll version 8.17.10.1114
Sound Driver: RTKVHD64.sys version 6.00.0001.6141 (I'm using Realtek HD Audio).

I've got a \\ ****PC version****/ of Mass Effect that I \\****bought and downloaded from Amazon****/ recently, when it was on sale for 5$.
I figured out how to install the game after it kept canceling on me. I figured out how to get into the configuration utility by replacing the masseffectconfig with masseffect2config. I updated the game to 1.02.
\\***Problem***/: Now my game is crashing after I press the key where it says "Press Any Key", specifically, it crashes shortly after it starts panning away from the Earth.
I've read somewhere that the "Bring Down the Sky" DLC would somehow fix all my problems, but I've only been able to download it, I haven't been able to register my code so I can redeem it, I also doubt it would work. I've also read that this DLC would cause more problems.
If I can't fix this, I pretty much just wasted 10$. I bought ME2 hoping I'd be able to play the whole series on PC once ME3 comes out.
Also, any advice on possibly getting a refund from Amazon, or maybe EA in case this doesn't pan out?

Sec 2.3 of that agreement clearly states that all sales are final, but it only talks about making sure your system meets the system requirements. Mine does, yet it's unfair that I paid 5$, and then I receive a product that is annoying as hell to install and keeps crashing.
