I've noticed that when things are murdered by that one shot weapon, there's no exp reward;  am I the only one who's noticed this? 

It makes it feel almost taboo to use it

I've seen cobra explosions generate a kill streak bonus medal, which is worth many points.

I've seen it give experience, but for the most part it doesn't seem to. Still, I have non qualms about whipping it out to clear an Atlas from the later levels. It often makes the difference between a full clear and a wipe.

using in a group of enemies can give you a killstreak medal which can be worth much more than normal but i dunno about the normal exp not check

I think i got like 2100 xp points for rocketing a Atlus in one game. Hasnt happened every time though..
