It was one of the target's you had to take down right, she was highlighted blue? Yes THOSE are immune to stasis. And what you do is shoot her, or shoot her with a rocket.

all special enemy personel targers are a little stronger than normal targets of their same class, however immunity to stasis? damn

Its a bug, they are not immune to stasis at all. I play asari adept on silver and can ALWAYS catch them in stasis, even with full barriers.

I'd recommend a Claymore for close-quarters if you're bad with sniper rifles on mobile targets. Though that thing is rare, has a pathetic ammo stock and is ridiculously heavy. But it sure kicks the crap out of those Phantoms on any difficulty. Two shots are enough on Gold, even with a full barrier.

desync problems causes this again and again, I've noticed it everywhere.. easy to spot when you see weak enemies just having their health meter blink, but get no reduction.

Play a krogan and pimpslap her into orbit.

or play as a assari that didnt pick stasis bubble and picked 50%more damage while in stasis and watch them fold like house of cards in the first charge

You did that to your stasis? You know bubble works on guardians? And multiple enemies?

HOW COULD YOU?

I didn't go with bubble... as there doesn't seem to be a need.  I can cast a stasis every other second...   and with the 50% bonus a couple head shots with a phalanx pistol drops pretty much everything in time to stasis the next one.

They sometimes put up a protective focus. You can see it by their hand being raised, making them deflect abilities and shots.

If you stasis them 4 times and not killing them, they become immune to stasis and the like.

Somewhat related, last night I played a game where towards the end of the match enemies would randomly not take any damage. I don't mean from specific attacks, I mean from ANY damage including gunfire. At the end one Assault Trooper was left and a teammate and I were unloading every power and every clip into this guy. Nothing. Eventually it resulted in my teammate running around the map as this Assault Trooper followed. This lasted a good 4-5 minutes and almost wiped us out until it magically stopped and he took damage normally again. There were no obvious signs of lag, no teleporting, no awkwardly standing still.

I double and tripple checked by now. It seems that it wasn't the case. :P

Ok here's how it REALLY works. VERY sure about this. So a phantom has a shield power, she hold her hand and glow appears. When that happens she is immune to all powers, stasis included, but is not immune to gun fire. When you are fightning phantom one on one and they don't get distracted after a couple of stasis attempts, they are starting to block with an perm shield, that doesn't have a glow.

So here is how it works more simple:

1) Phantoms are immune to stasis when they hold their blue-glowing palm infront of themselves.
2) Phantoms are immune to stasis after they already have been stasised before and haven't been killed AND are fightning the one who has stasised them before. They can still be stasised if they are distracted by another squadie.

Check it yourself.

You should've lured him into a cliff and thrown him off.

I think it a bug, case it happened to be then more then just phantoms. Even had normal troopers be immune.

Nope it doesn't. Want to check?

Leave yourself with one phantom, stasis them, shoot them so they get wounded, don't kill her, stasis her one more time. Then when she get's up to fight again, try to stasis her.
