This is actually only one of two problems I've had (the second being the skill bar glitch) with ME3 multiplayer after 2 full nights of playing with a group of friends.

I would like to ask BioWare and hopefully you will all agree, for the ability to bind Use seperately from Cover/Storm. Far too often has my character and my friends' characters warped into cover instead of attempting to revive a team mate that we're standing directly on top of, or instead of activating an objective that we're directly in front of. While I've had no issues with the cover and storm system itself, these little 'priority' mishaps have caused several deaths or just general frustration when the game thinks we're trying to take cover instead of being used to revive a team mate.

So, my opinion in this matter is that the Use binding be seperated from Cover/Storm to prevent this reocurring frustration.

Other opinions?

Serious issue here, don't care if I'm double posting, this needs to be brought to light to the ME3 team and fixed. Its continually been an issue before and since I posted this, causing me or team mates to die or become frustrated by objectives.

Yes, serious issue and brought to BioWares attention in about 100 threads already. :P
But it is indeed annoying and sometimes deadly - so 'yay' for another one.

+1 that I think its an issue. but I think they can fix it while still using the space key for everything. since I like the simplicity of just using the space I just want them to try and make each command distinct from one another so players dont do unintended things like run up to the side of wall to take cover when the enemy is straight in front of you.

but if they just used standard FPS setup but have space operate cover I wouldnt mind either since it makes the controls workable.

I don't mind having the 'option' to use space for all three. I wouldn't want to keep people from having that option either. But myself personally and many friends find it aggravating to attempt to press the 'use' key and instead have our characters duck into cover or dodge roll.

At the very least an option to be able to bind Use to something else, separate from Cover/Storm, needs to be included for those that are used to PC Shooter/RPGs and having a single, functional use key.

Currently my E key isn't being used, as its my favored 'use' key position. The commands were setup differently, something more organized:
z - Order Attack
x - Order SM 1 to move/attack
c - Order SM 2 to move/attack
v - Order Rally

This is just my preferred setup, but I also will be spending a LOT of time in MP on this game so I've set the controls to reflect that.

Basicaly this is what they told me about it:

"Unfortunately what you are playing is what we shipped with. There is no way for us to put in alternate controls since the game is gold. We tried some other control schemes internally but they felt worse. I realize it's not optimal, but overtime you get better and make less mistakes. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you."

Maybe they can patch it later.

I'm sorry but that is the worst lie I've ever heard... "There is no way for us to put in alternate controls since the game is gold."? Seriously? Its called a Week 1 Patch, they CAN do it but either A) They just don't care. B) Their 'Publisher', the godawful EA is being an ass about non-profitable patches. Or C) They don't feel like putting in the effort for their community.

I probably sound a bit ticked off and I deserve to be. I know plenty of other games that have patched their controls soon after launch due to them not being ideal/really bad. Just because ME is a console port (and no offense to console players, I have one too) doesn't mean the PC version should be restricted to the same controls/limitations as a console. I'm sorry but its not rocket science to change 1 control setting. I'm not saying its simple, but its far from the hardest thing they could do...

is that a PM they sent you? because this part annoys me

"  We tried some other control schemes internally but they felt worse. I realize it's not optimal, but overtime you get better and make less mistakes."

sounds like they are very dimissive and protective about the control scheme which is definately flawed as it currently is. another thing I like to point out is the cover system is actually LESS effective for normal combat situations then it is to just LoS at since the delay time/camera movement/animation involved in poking out of cover to aim. they need to hold the camera STILL for a start for it to be a viable alternative to LoS. though I can understand how this could be too effective where youre only present the enemy with a very short window in which to deal damage to you, but the fact its less effective than walking out of sight is why the whole cover mechanic seems a little like an undesired addition anyway left in their only for the roleplaying elements, i.e. its not realistic that players just run and gun.

and I disagree with their final assessment that overtime youll make less mistakes, since running into cover and taking it unintentionally is NOT a mistake its natural play, so is trying to revive someone, but instead taking cover which you have trouble leaving intuitively ffs. imagine trying to avoid stickying yourself to the side of objects in the game for fear of taking cover, this is what essentially that line is suggesting you do . doesnt give you much hope they actually change it.
