Text chat?

Will there be text chat in the final game on pc? I have seen "press t to type" in the options, but I am just checkign up on it

That'd be inefficient if you ask me. Especially when you need chat for Silver/Gold and need to make split second decisions.

Personal example: We had a hairy moment in the end waves of Silver where we were getting suppressed hard. I just shouted to my teammates I will simply breach and force an entry to a route so we could escape. Having to type that out in chat would cost us seconds and doomed us all.

Better get your headset ready!

I am not saying it would be efficient, but I prefer it. I hate using mic.. its too personal imo... i knw its weird

lobby chat would be good. In game voice is best. I don't want to be distracted by having to read something while playing.

I HATE the lack of text chat in game lobbies some people have there vox off >.>
its just another thing on the list of console hold overs like the narrow FoV and the space bar that does every thing im surprised space bar doesnt shoot too
