Hey guys back again with another question: I've been messing around with creating my own items and so far I've managed to get it into game working as intended thanks to a lovely tutorial but I can't seem to figure out how to set a Specialization requirement such as Requiring the player to be a Templar to equip.
I've found the ITEM_SPECIALIZATION_FLAG under Variables but I'm not sure what to put in as a value and if there's anything else involved.
Am I on the right track with this? How do I designate which specialization is required?

All you need to do, is go to the item you made in the toolset, and open it up. Go to item properties, and open that up (where you gave your item what item property values you wanted). At the bottom left, there is a tab, it's default it set to abilities, just click that, and change it to Restrictions, and you should find what you need in there. Just add Required: Templar, and you're all set.
