So I heard that there is a bug where vigilance looks like starfang now I don't know if this is just for the longsword or greatsword as well. Everyone says disable your warden's keep dlc and reload the save file, however on my ps3 I see no option under the downloadable content area to disable any dlc and from what some people have said it can corrupt save files. For anyone's information I am using the downloadable version of dragon age origins awakening.
Hope someone can help.

There was an unofficial patch (a mod, really) which fixed this on the PC, but unfortunately I know of no way to fix it on a PS3 aside from the method you mentioned.
