Good thing I did all the side quests in ME1 and ME2, I knew they would pay off eventually. But what about PS3 players? they don't get any of the ME1 war assets I suppose.

Also avoid the last two, they spoil the game royally.

Are Prothean Data Drives the Porthean Data Discs from the first game? I hope not otherwise I am going to have to go back and Do all my playthroughs.............

Edit: Same with the Fossilized Kaklisaur, I hope its not that skeleton creature from the first game. If any knows please tell me.

Don't those two things seems to be way too high value to be random pickups in ME1?

Cerberus Flotilla? Hm.

But damn. I'm going to lose a ton of assets for being a renegade. :P

There seems to be a lot in there for Renegades, actually.

Question: what does starting strength mean? Some IDs have values while some have 0.

The leaked script mentions at least one point where you're trying to get Prothean data (and Cerberus is trying to steal the same data), so I think those particular data drives are ME3-specific.

I think "starting strength" actually means something else, rather than a simple reward in points. I really don't see how "weapon cache" (id 53) can be worth 10000, Volus Dreadnaught (58) - 50 and Destiny Ascention (80) - 70. Of course it could be some main story related weapon cache, but still ...

I think it means the starting army strength for that particular unit.

Hanar shock troops.

Of course. If you remember Zaeed, watching them chock you to death is quite SHOCKING. Thanks God we do not see any pets in ME. I mean that might have been the Kitten Shock Troops -- "Scratch you to death!" would be a bit anticlimatic... Meoowwwrr! Wait actually I have seen an Italian Return of Satan movie like that, only with rats not cats lol!

Well, I guess, but how can a weapons cache or some library be a unit and have 143 times more army strength than the Destiny Ascention? I wonder if some things are actually units, while other are some other form of "war asset"? Mayde 10000+ are actually main storyline missions that have to be completed? But then again, weapons cache, asari library and some skull sound kinda weird for main quests...

I'm not quite sure what it actually means when it says StartingStrength = XYZ (March 6 will give an indication)

certainly I think you point is vaild considering there's a large amount of zeroes but it's possible that they are hooked to other conditions that hasn't been revealed ( the actual file that this is located in is several thousands line of code and while I can go have a look I'm currently testing something else ).

If you notice a lot of the ones that have 0 attached are either labeled as "modifier" or "intel". I'd guess intel unlocks new missions or new options and modifiers adjust the strength of already existing assets, rather than having any inherent strength of their own.

Also, the ones with the crazy high value are all Salvage or Artifacts, I imagine they must be tracked differently then the rest of the Fleet and Ground assets.

The 10.000 and 15.000 point things are only flags for something else, they dont really count that much. I guess the devs just wanted to save variables with this, because only the type salvage and artifact have these high numbers.

The modifiers which all have 0 points could be increasing the "StartingStrength" values of other specific assets (fleets and ground divisions) .

Another one; If you choose to keep Wrex alive, but choose to destroy the Genophage data from Mordin's quest(which I think is a paragon action), it has something that says "Urdnot betrayal." I think not killing bad people when the option presents itself (which is commonly Paragon) will bite Paragon Shepard's in the rear later.

Also noticed - while letting Balak go causes some "alliance ships sabotage", you can still convince him to work for you. I wonder if "sabotage" thing is somehow a trigger for the main Balak mission.

It's a modifier. I believe since you've betrayed Wrex and the Krogan, it reduces the amount of Krogan support. But since you have Wrex you might still keep some of it.
