I'm more concerned about 'the loft'. I was pretty fond of that area.

Indeed, the Alliance better not have shrunk my personal quarters down to that tiny dark hole that was the SR1's captain's quarters...

I hope so too but we already know they stole all of our models a pets, the bastards. :crying:

They did?! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

So side mission 1: Find your belongings

Phase 1: Locate the missing ship models
Phase 2: Locate the missing fish
Phase 3: Locate your space hamster
Phase 4: Return them to your personal cabin

Actually, while it is the same normandy, apparently the alliance has been playing around with it since they recieve it. Basically, they renovated it while you weren't looking.

While the Normandy will certainly be familiar in ME3, it is not the Normandy from ME2. The rooms are (basically) in the same position, but there are a number of changes you will see.

My favorite feature though is how your part members don't stay in one spot all the time. Definitely my favorite new Normandy feature.

That sir, has made my day. Excellent news. Something i posted about many times hoping for it.

You mean Garrus won't be calibrating the guns all the time?

NOOOOOoooooOOOOO!!

The whole "crew is not at the same place all the time" reminds me of the Wing Commander games, which is good. Image IPB

So will the crew change from time to time, like day shift to night shift? Also EDI flying the Normandy while Joker goes to sleep for the night?

That just made my day, having people stay in one spot was just weird.

I knew it wasn't going to happen, but I was sooo hoping they'd give us a peek at the Normandy in the demo.  I miss my ship...  I was so pissed when the Collectors blew it up, and I still get chills when they unveil it in ME2.  I think I'm looking forward to getting it back more than anything else in the game.
Also, I love the idea of having people roam around the ship.  It'll make it feel more alive and real.

Ooh, if there's a lounge does that mean there could be a bartender? Like Aethyta?

Garrus has gone to calibration school, he now calibrates anything.

Like the sound of it though, in both games it got to the point where I'd just plan to go to x, y and z and ignore whole rooms and floors.

I hope random crew members have more conversation though, loved hearing about the one guys family and the Evil Genius' food. And Any DLC characters get proper converstions, got tried of checking in with kasumi to see if she had more to talk about but was always the same, same goes for Zaeed.

Gutting to hear no models transfer over, hope we at least can rebuy them all, reapers can wait, I need decorations.

Do they move to scripted locations at different points in the story, or is it random? Or some mixture of the two?

Great news Chris. Also, is what I hear about the bottom level of the Normandy (the cargo bay?) becoming available to Shepard true?

Well, people have been asking for being able to use the airlock again. Only since the SR2 can't land on most planets, the only way you'd be able to manually get to a planet would be to enter the cargo bay and board either a shuttle, the mako or the hammerhead. I'm kind of hoping this is the case. Ah well, I'll know for certain in 2 weeks and 2 days :D

This is nice. Should make the characters feel more alive.

I only hope there is less loading in the Normandy compared to 1 and 2.

I remember reading somewhere that the game is built in a way that you wont need loading times.
Probably a clever way to say "We are going to use elevators, only these are not elevators".

TCS Victory?

It was an awesome part of WC3 - roaming the ship (sort of) and finding crew in different locations.
