While the Normandy will certainly be familiar in ME3, it is not the Normandy from ME2. The rooms are (basically) in the same position, but there are a number of changes you will see.
My favorite feature though is how your part members don't stay in one spot all the time. Definitely my favorite new Normandy feature.
Same Normandy? So... same interior? YAWN

Whats for the lounge?Cthulhu42 wrote...
The ME2 Normandy didn't have a War Room or a Lounge.
The ME3 one does.
Lounge for rest and relaxation. Soldiers who haven't rested properly are useless. No amount of training can make you immune to fatigue.

Awesome. Looking forward to it.
Also looking forward to discussions in the War Room. Will it be like war room discussions in Battlestar Galactica? Okay admittedly in that show the war room was part of the CIC.

well, the first thing I will do after I install the game and run it i will take tour around normandy to see what changed, maybe I will bump into some familiar faces.
No the first thing you'll do (after a long series of cutscenes) is follow Admiral Anderson to the Normandy and watch Vancouver getting blown to pieces including a little child that you tried to save but for some reason said "you can't help me".
So until you've fought a few zombies and seen mass destruction, you can't start your tour of the Normandy.

I want to know what they did to my ship damn it!!!
I would really like to know why my Cerberus appreciating adept gave them his ship in the first place. My canon paragon Shep, yeah, no doubt, he's loyal to the Alliance, but that is far from true for every Shepard.
Explain!!

A short little 8 page comic that's free for all on the internet, ME: Conviction, explains that.....the Alliance took Shep into custody after arrival and Vega was his/her guard....so they tookthe ship too.

TCS Victory?
It was an awesome part of WC3 - roaming the ship (sort of) and finding crew in different locations.
OT: Wing Commander IV had it too with TCS Lexington and BWS Intrepid, although you had the map to show where you could find people of interest.
I don't remember abou the TCS Midway in Prophecy though, I keep trying to forget it. WC series ended with IV.
On-Topic: Hope we can get Shepard (and teammates) wasted in the lounge.

I'd still like to know how they managed to actually take him into custody and such. Besides, **** the comic, these are things that NEED to be told/shown in the damn game. I read the comic, but that should not, in any way be necessary to understand the game. And it doesn't even help me very much with that, so...

I remember reading somewhere that the game is built in a way that you wont need loading times.AlphaJarmel wrote...
This is nice. Should make the characters feel more alive.
I only hope there is less loading in the Normandy compared to 1 and 2.
Probably a clever way to say "We are going to use elevators, only these are not elevators".
BioWare was indeed trying to achieve seamless loading, whether they succeded we'll have to see in 2 weeks.
The Witcher 2 had near seamless loading where the next area loaded in detail while you were running towards it and the transition from village to outside forest was also near seamless. However I doubt the xbox or ps3 have the required speed and memory to make this work to be perfectly honest.

I'm guessing they probably just called him/her in....council and alliance denounced Shep, Batarians were calling for blood....probably would have been a fugitive to be taken into custody or captured for a bounty everywhere otherwise.

Which is entirely redundant since EDI is capable of piloting the ship herself.
