Ive noticed a trend with the Unlocking and scaling of weapons. I dont want to start yet another bash of the unlock system, but i did want to share an observation.
Almost across the board, my common tier weapons are lvl 5-6 and vastly more effective than my more rare weapons at t1 t2 at best. If the graphics are to believed there is no reason to switch from the shuriken/tempest to the locust or hornet, same thing applies to the katana vs the scimitar/claymore. or the sniperrifiles & pistols( Only have 2 assault rifiles so i cant judge there). Now i May be unlucky with my unlocks, but it seems a pretty common complaint for my friends in the demo as well.
Weapon Upgrades... and rarer weapons.

the mantis X isn't better than the Widow cause the widow penetrate shields so against guardians it helps a lot but it's true for some weapons

I've been wanting to point how Armour Penetration would REALLY give the Revenant and Claymore a serious boost. Why do they have the same draw back (Weight) as Widow but not the same perks?
