War Dog
Alistair(Human, warrior, Templar, romancable by female PCs)
Wynne(human, mage, spirit healer)
Leliana(human, rogue, bard, romanceable by both genders)
Morrigan(human, mage, shapeshifter, romanceable by male PCs)
Oghren(dwarf, warrior, beserker)
Sten(Qunari, warrior, I don't know the specilization for him)
Zevran(elf, rogue, romanceable by both genders)
*spoilers*
And I think I read Loghain is indeed a companion but I don't know about class/spec, etc.

Thank you. I had heard about all except Loghain. Too be honest, If the story is from the way it sounds (Loghain turning his back on the king) I will end up challenging Loghain. Atleast I have seen a tape of the PC and Loghain dueling.

I don't think Sten has a specialization. And how cool would it be to have Loghain in the party. Anyone be to confirm that he is indeed a companion? Since Loghain distrust gray wardens its a bit hard to believe.
You can get him after Landsmeet, but you lose Alistair if you do. Loghain becomes a Grey Warden too.

According to the guide Sten has no specialization.

Loghain being a warrior makes no sense when you take into account the events of the Stolen Throne. I figured he'd be a rogue:Ranger/Duelist if anything. Since he favors a bow and isn't mentioned as ever using a shield.
Warriors can make effective bow users in this game. This ain't D&D.

How far into the game is landsmeet? (And I'd rather keep Alistair)

Agreed, He is already a Templar, and since I don't plan for any of my people to take Templar, he might come in handy in specific fights or situations. The more versatility your availbe companions the better. IMHO

If you really still wanted Loghain i'm pretty sure you could make him take templar as a spec as i read somewhere you can make you NPC's take specs (though some NPC's will NOT take certain specs i.e Wynne - blood mage = not gonna happen)

He deserves the end of my blade for hsi actions against the former King. Death is a fair trade off for his actions, anyone agree/disagree?

Landsmeets so late you might not be able to make him a Templar. Hard to tell till we get the game.
Not to mention my usual treatment of traitors is to kill them. Never can trust em. Grey warden recruit or not. Maybe if my character was leaning towards the dark side? I might take a chance. But I find my evil types tend to be less trusting, not more.
