That is a symptom of a bad (Intel) video chip. The Demo requires the real thing, from a real 3D graphics company.

You cannot be helped without spending money. You bought the wrong machine and ignored the Demo requirements, which demand a real card from a real 3D graphics company. If it happens to be a desktop, you can ask about an upgrade and give a budget you can afford to spend. Laptops are simply disposable toys, not able to have graphics upgrades.

Bump! I have this problem, with a 2GB dedicated nVidia GeForce GT 540M, on Windows 7 64 Bit. At the end of most missions, the demo just crashes. Most times it makes it to the summary screen, but sometimes not, and I end up loosing all my experience points...

When I installed, the install did say that it didn't recognise my hardware. I uninstalled and re-installed but didn't get the same message again. Don't know if it was because it had saved settings that it went by, as my multiplayer characters were still there after I re-installed.

This has been happening to me for quite some time (since the demo came out)  and im really getting annoyed. PLEASE HELP BIOWARE!

I found the fix to my problem. Had to downgrade the resolution to the second highest (below 1600x900) and it works now!

Make absolutely certain that there is zero interference from any Intel onboard video chip. It's not at all good enough, but nVIDIA and Geforces are very shy about taking over from the Intel chips.

To put it succinctly, Intel GPU's do not meet minimum requirements for most games. Intel GPU's are pretty much business class GPU's.

You can try reducing resolution and lowering graphics settings to lower-mid-range or lower, but you won't get past the technical limitations of the integrated Intel GPUs.

That is why minimum and recommended hardware specifications are posted. If your hardware doesn't meet (preferably exceed) the published minimum requirements, you may not be able to play a given game at all. Even when meeting minimum requirements, game play will often be rather poor.

Either a Geforce or a Radeon will play the game for a desktop machine ready for an upgrade.  There are low cost beginner cards intended to meet the minimums of most games, but not much more than that, and the Radeons have that type in a lock with their HD 6570.  nVIDIA can't beat the price to performance of that card.  One step upward, into the Mainline zone, and a Radeon is still the top card, the HD 6670.  Either of those two should run happily on the size power supply included with the usual branded mini-tower desktops.

The so-called "Slimline" PCs have a too-small power supply, forcing two purchases.  You have to get a better power supply, as well as the real video card.

How about $60 after mail-in rebate?
