How is there even a comparison? This character seems to be a capable warrior. The issue with Jar Jar was that he was completely useless.

Dude, NONE of the aliens have accents so why the hell would the Protheans sound African? I never asked Bioware to cater, so don't blame me.

Well you have the right to not like the character's voice I suppose, but you know what? You also have the right to not take him anywhere, and judging from recent info have him on your squad in the first place. You don't need to come up with petty grievances (and generalizations of  certain people).

Some of the Admirals have British Accents, one an Iranian, another an Australian and Kal' Reegar has a Southern Drawl.

I would like to point something out to you all. It is said the the cradle of humankind is said to be in Africa. I would also like to point out the lore says that the Protheans had a hand in the evolution of mankind, as in such would make since that the Prothean would sound African.

...Except that it's not Jamaican by any stretch of the imagination. And frankly, I find it infinitely idiotic that this forum (and many others) are so quick to jump on the Jamaican caricatures. Ignorance is not becoming.

As an Irishman with many Nigerian friends. i can safely say it very much sounds Nigerian. Also tali has a sort of arabic russian accent.
