Well he has the accent of a native speaker. You should hear me speaking lol! I am told I am quite good at imitating the standart Holywood accent in a fluent way but if you had heard me you would immediately understand that I am not a native speaker.

That definitely isn't Afro-Caribbean by any stretch. It's obviously meant to be African, but outside sounding vaguely Western (there are bits that he sounds Nigerian, and others where he sounds way off), I can't pinpoint what it is. It also sounds affected, so his VA probably isn't actually African. If he is, he's likely using a modified accent.the almighty moo wrote...

I personally won't be buying this DLC, but I don't think that the people who do are being shortchanged or screwed by this approach to his voice acting.

The prothean, like Thane, would be using a translater. So why would there be any accent?
I think the accent is OK but conviction lacking.
Then why did Thane have a north American accent?
There's no such thing as a person with no accent. Bioware had to go with something, and they, for their own reasons, went for something non-European and non-north American. I don't see the issue, personally. As long as he sounds appropriately badass in my game, I'm gonna be happy.

This is to say that the Prothean civilization was certainly widespread enough that a veritable infinitude of dialects and accents could have sprung up quite easily, not counting however many may have existed before they took to the stars in the first place.

Why? You don't hear Canadians getting offended every time Commander Shepard open his mouth.Raizo wrote...
It's like Bioware hasn't learnt anything from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Now ME3 has it's very own Jar Jar Binks. As someone who was born and grew up in the Caribbean I find this to be highly racist and offensive.
