Who needs biotics to charge, when you're two thousand pounds of pure Krogan?
Definitely puts a new appreciation for the Krogan Rebellions.

You know that's a good point....Must have been hell watching krogans simply pimpslap away salarians and asari all while they're laughing (I really like the laugh).

Much more durable than even my human sentinel, with much more fire power. (makes me wonder the point of that class)
Playing him to (hopefully) unlock my Turian Sentinel.

Laughing at people suggesting to headbutt a phantom or atlas to death. Those are usually the people that i dont like to play with because they get executed and blame others for their durpidity. I like krogans, but please, dont play one if you THINK they are unstoppable, you will surely die in silver/gold
More then once, on silver, my party has defeated both atlasus and phantoms by letting the krogan stunlock them in melee.

Do we really want to go there? Let people take their potshots, it helps diminish the number of rage threads. :/
On-topic: I'm interested in Krogan Soldier. Everyone raves about how badass it is, but I haven't unlocked it yet. So out of curiosity I ask krogan players: what is it that makes the class so powerful? Does it have more shields? Health? Melee damage? I mean, why is it so much more effective than Human Soldier?
Also, for when I eventually unlock it: what's the best build for it?
Krogans have a passive ability: Rage. If you kill 3 targets (can spec into it to make it 2) in any 30 second period from one another with Melee, you go in to rage mode, which looks a lot like adrenaline rush -- your screen's contrast skyrockets, you get little pulsing veins in the corners of your HUD. While Enraged, your Krogan's melee damage and damage resistance are increased.
So what normally happens with Krogan Soldiers is you'll run around with Fortification on, which is similar to Tech Armor now; permanent buff, activating doesn't set off a cooldown. But when you purge it, instead of Tech Armor's AoE explosion, you get a 20 second melee damage buff. So, put a blade attachment on your shotgun, and run around with Fort up until you see some troopers...on Bronze, and I think up through Silver, if you Purge the Fortification, you can one-shot up to a Centurion with Heavy Melee. So you try to Heavy Melee two targets, which sets off Rage mode, at which point the cooldown for Fortification's reset, so you can get your armor buff back, now with more increased damage resistance, and the ability to one-shot anything short of a phantom. And if you do see a phantom while Enraged, you simply purge the Fort armor again and you should be able to one-shot her too. At least, I normally do on Bronze, especially if she's not looking my way. I think their damage resistance goes up during their little flip thingies (I've heard this is true for Drell too).
But anyways, so you go about giant Melee kill chains with a bunch of uber damage resistance. What's really fun is being enraged and staring an Atlas in the face like, "I'mma punch you now."
Dealing with an Atlas as a Krogan Soldier is similar to how you deal with one as a Vanguard: you charge them with heavy melee, and shotgun and carnage while moving back to cover while the Atlas takes a swing and (ideally) misses. You need to wait for him to right himself again: the key is to not hit him again too quickly, so that he's done recovering from his last stagger when you go in for the next melee. If you go too quickly, he'll backhand you, or worse, insta-kill.
On Bronze, a Krogan Soldier can essentially rolfstomp his way up through about Wave 7-8 before he needs to start taking care of not getting overwhelmed if he runs off to have fun off in some half of the map by himself. On Silver or, god forbid, Gold, Krogan Soldiers are great to have as vanguards (as in, the actual definition) within the friendly lines to clean up people who try running through them while snipers deal with long distance targets.
As for builds, you have two basic options: maximize melee damage, or maximize damage resistance. No matter what, you're going to want full Fortification and full Rage; I personally am going to roll with Melee damage on my Soldier for the time being and, should I ever unlock a Sentinel on the main game, I'd probably go with max damage resistance for him. Carnage is great, but it's not really the mainstay of a Krogan's abilities; I roll into battle with only a Claymore and essentially cover my teammates by forcing myself to focus only on the people who get close...except on Bronze, where I'll just wade into the enemy swinging. So I went with getting Rage to 2 kills in 30 seconds, and worked on the Melee damage bonus side of Fortification's buff. For Carnage I specced it fully into damage for the mid-range tank shell blast before closing distance (it's also nice to hit Centurions with to soften them up before a melee hit), but I use it seldom enough that I didn't feel the need to take the recovery speed. And Inferno grenades I really only use against Guardians, so I put 3 levels' investment in to those and just didn't take the 6th point of the passive skill.
