You're pretty much unkillable, can act as the medic for the whole team, strip shields at will with Energy Drain AND be the highest damage dealer on the team if you have the Widow.

I have the following build:

Tactical Cloak: Duration (increase power duration by 40%) -> Recharge Speed (increase recharge speed by 30%) -> Bonus Power (fire one power and remain hidden)
Energy Drain: Radius (rank 4) -> Drain (rank 5) -> Armor Boost -> (rank 6)

I put everything else into the passives.

If you have the Widow, you pretty much stay back, cloak, use energy drain (bonus power) to strip shields/barriers on protected enemies with the cloak still intact and line up a headshot. Heck you don't even need a headshot. What I love about this is that if you're a sniper, you don't need to increase your weapon damage as Energy Drain does the same job before you take the shot. This lets you put points in recharge speed, power duration etc. instead.

And if at any point your shields drop or you get rushed by a group of enemies, once again...you cloak > energy drain on a shielded enemy and get the hell outta there.

By far and away my favorite class / build. I don't even use the Widow because this build is much more OP with a carnifex, at least it has been for me so far. Tops almost every-game. Can kill from anywhere I have scoped LOS on the map. Can't die 1v1 to anything.

Why armor boost? I would much rather have my shields to max. Also since there is no respec in the demo how is?

Salarian infiltrators are pure win.

I agree too a point but I am The only one finding that enemies really don't have that hard a time seeing thru your cloak. it's really annoying

My fave class too, only I roll with a shotgun. A levelled up proxy mine kills groups of low level enemies at range, and benefits from the cloak bonus too I think..

I just stroll about using cloaked headshots.

I have noticed this sometimes especially with those infernal turrets. I wonder if they see you cloak they track you better? IDK.  However it is hilarious to cloak then watch the AI keep shooting at where you were.  :P

I went with armor boost. It's definitely worth it for reduced damage. Especially if nemesis drains your shields immediately.

I love Salarian infil. Another strategy, depending on the enemy is to cloak, snipe, and energy drain before the cloak cooldown. That's what I use against the atlas It's fan-freaking-tastic. Against regular enemies I cloak, energy drain, snipe. I like it that energy drain also stuns them to make it easier to snipe. They're definitely the survivability class. (I'm not too big on the sentinel).

Your right. If the ememy sees you cloak they can track you easier.

I almost never see this, but granted, when I hit cloak it's to either run the hell away or rev someone.  The enemies who usually see you when you cloak are in my rearview.

The only time I normally die now is when uncloaking from reviving multiple allies. Phantoms in particular really seem to resent this.

Quite honestly, I feel like you can pick anything for rank 4 and 6 in Energy Drain...it wouldn't matter. I haven't gotten into a situation yet where I think one or the other would have given me a greater edge.

Being able to cloak with no shields use the cloak, use drain and gain 100 % shields.  Just amazing.

I've totally ignored proximity mine, maxed up both passives, energy drain with 15% less damage after activiation and cloak with one bonus power before showing up. Shotgun.

Pure win. I am not holding the line. The line is where I am. STG!

I've totally ignored fitness, maxed proximity mines, energy drain with all the plus damage and cload with one bonus power before showing up. Shotgun.

No problem surviving in gold with that build.
And proximity mines are awesome.

I'm not big on krogan.

Also, proximity mines just..aren't that great. I feel like whenever I launch one out, enemies don't go near it that often for it to be useful. I much prefer energy drain and cloak. I also went with a weapon damage spec. I think I maxed out salarian passive. +22% weapon damage. So far it's been more useful than proximity mines ever have been. Weapon damage bonus + cloak damage bonus + widow = 4 - 5 hits and a dead atlas. Basically I was the atlas killer on my team when we did silver and gold. Everyone else would try to keep me covered.

You don't throw a proximity mine where your enemy may go. You throw it at his feet.

Or at the top of a ladder or ramp.

Yes, I have. It just never works well enough. Enemies either roll away or run away shooting at another ally. In comparison to how often I shoot, mines just aren't as useful I found. When it does land, it's great. My problem isn't with the damage, it's just how often it actually requires to land the mine.

Your not a real Atlas killer unless you take Proximity mines.

Spec them for damage and +25% damage taken. Cloak->Throw mine at Atlas->Widow (with +25% damage bonus).
