Though actually on topic a bit, I maxed out all but fitness. Figured I didn't need shields, maxed Energy Drain for shield drain so i can full heal my self, basically, of atlases and turrents and the like.
Made Proximity mine do bonus dmg for 8 seconds from all sources, great upgrade that. Usually start off an atlas fight with that Cloak -> Mine -> Shoot... cloak -> Drain -> shoot. Works wonders. Was taking 80% of the Atlas' armor down in a single Widow round with that combo on gold earlier.
-edit-
Also, Salarian Infiltrator + Claymore = gitty laughter.

Finally beat silver, had a kick-ass group with an Asari Adept, a human engineer, a human soldier with a widow, and me with the STG guru. The Asari would stasis the Phantoms, and either I would get it with Energy drain + Mantis, or the soldier would with the Widow. I'll definately try out the Widow when I get it, but I really like the Mantis/Phalanx combo. Phalanx saved my life a coupla times against the phantoms when one would get too close to aim well with the Mantis. Cloak + energy drain + phalanx = dead phantom quickly. It was too much fun to put into words.
I am completely in love with the Salarian infiltrator after being kinda "meh" about the human infiltrator...

Yes, a Salarian with a Claymore is ridiculously funny and effectiveAdhin wrote...

Stuck with a Mantis VII, though. No Widow for me.
My squad was pinned down by two turrets and got squashed, so I sniped and energy drained nearly an entire silver wave solo. I didn't even know I was capable of that, and I very much doubt that I could have pulled it off with any other class. They did the only logical thing anyone could do after they witnessed the last enemy of the wave fall, and I basked in their praise and poorly concealed envy.

Phantoms? Unless they sneak up on me undetected they are no threat no more - on the contrary they FEAR me. They retreat so fast I can only see smoke and dust and have to chase after 'em

I agree too a point but I am The only one finding that enemies really don't have that hard a time seeing thru your cloak. it's really annoying
Only if they spot you activating the cloak it seems. Otherwise they have no clue.

They can hear you as well if you're running near them.

I just want to unlock the Quarian one... Has anyone actually ever seen a Quarian Infiltrator yet?
4th characters are permanently locked on the demo I hear, so not counting the alternate humans we have:
Krogan Soldier
Asari Adept
Quarian Engineer
Turian Sentinel
Drell Vanguard
Salarian Infiltrator
Giving us at least one of each race. (once again not counting humans)
Does it seem like there is space on the character select for an additional 5th character?

sneaking behind enemy line is fun and melee them each to death. until a phantom pop out of nowhere and 1hit KO me..
but yeah. running around with a pistol or shotgun and maxed fitness for melee. didn't know what to expect initially but now it's one of my fav. actually I am loving all the classes I tried out.

Yeah, though it can also depend on if they are busy dealing with someone else. I've ran straight past enemies cloaked without them batting even an eyelid more than once.

You know it's weird. I don' think a Phantom has ever OHKO'd me yet though I saw it happen to another player. Who died next to about 3 turrets. Yeah, rezzing him wasn't a whole lot of fun.

The only downside was proximity mine. At first, I was excited about them, because I thought they would be a good way to block choke-points or protect my flanks as I sniped, but they don't really seem to work that way.

I have proximity mine maxed out dmg - (with damage boost passives)
and I like to get up close and personal with it.
It takes getting used to but i just aim for the body - it's like a concussive shot that kills.
And taking out 3 enemies with one mine...
pure joy.
and unlike the other attacks - when you use it up close it's just SO instant
