They can also shoot mines at behind riot shield trooper's feet which either kills them or knocks them back.
And you can use an overload to stun someone and then heavy melee them.
The one thing that you have to get used to is that when you turn invis (and have the "use ability while invis" skill) and use overload on flesh targets you stay invis but if you use it on shielded enemies it counts as healing and you lose your invis.

Haha, reminded me of this!theBreadSultan wrote...
Don't wait for the enemy to come to the mine....bring the mine to the enemy.
I have proximity mine maxed out dmg - (with damage boost passives)
and I like to get up close and personal with it.
It takes getting used to but i just aim for the body - it's like a concussive shot that kills.
And taking out 3 enemies with one mine...
pure joy.
and unlike the other attacks - when you use it up close it's just SO instant

From what I've read the best species from each class are the Salarian Infiltrator, the Quarian Engineer, the Turian Sentinal, the Asari Adept, the Krogan Soldier, and the Female Human Vanguard.
Fixed.

I like Overload and the Combat Drone, so I like the Human Engineer Better.

No, you don't. It's a graphic glitch. You can see that, after you drain, your cloak icon is still "orange," meaning that you are still technically invisible.

By far and away my favorite class / build. I don't even use the Widow because this build is much more OP with a carnifex, at least it has been for me so far. Tops almost every-game. Can kill from anywhere I have scoped LOS on the map. Can't die 1v1 to anything.
This was a wonderful thing to read because I can't stand sniping (takes me out of the action) and a pistol-wielding death-operative of an Infiltrator was MY class back in ME. The idea of harkening back to that with a handcannon and my "cloak + e-drain = survival" formula in effect sounds like a beautiful thing to behold. Can't wait to unlock. Going to be tough to choose between that and a Turian Sentinel as my fav in the demo I bet.
Anyone else hope that, if there's a fifth race unlock in the final game for each class, it'll be a Drell Infiltrator with Cloak, Energy Drain, and Marksman? Oh lawdy.

A Shotgun Salarian Infiltrator doesn't hold the line. They bring the line to the enemy and shove it down their throat with napalm and buckshot.

I think that if your ideal is what you you've described, then barring some random ill-fortune with you being unable to unlock carnifexes, or misallocating points, you will love it.
It is an absolutely devastating and always fun build.
I'd have to say though that Widow may eventually be better at Widow X, but I prefer Carnifex so far as I don't have X versions of either yet.
Even if Widow is 'better' at X level, I will probably still use the carnifex unless Widow can 2-3 shot atlases, because Carnifex damage is just so much more efficient in team play.

I agree too a point but I am The only one finding that enemies really don't have that hard a time seeing thru your cloak. it's really annoying
Only if you are super close or cloak right next to them, then they can see you for a second but quickly forget about you.
So if you cloak and then hop away they will lose track of you giving you ample time to line up a shot on an enemy that is no more than 3 feet in front of you.
