Why are sentinels used so less???

The Sentinel is by no means weak. It commands the team with it walking-tank approach.
The turian sentinel is by far the most fantastic class.
Spam overlord with Avenger X or warp with Avenger X.
What's your view?

Turian Sentinel is amazing, and I use it every game. Maybe people don't use it because they haven't unlocked him yet, or its because he can't roll.

EXACTLY!
Roll as in movement or...??

Also, I'm really not a fan of Turian Sentinel's inability to dodge. Maybe that was just a bug though? I played exactly one and only match with that character, for that reason.

As in dodging. Though he can roll between cover so it makes no sense that they can't dodge roll.

I must be doing it wrong, because sentinels don't feel particularly tanky to me. IMO the class has always suffered from a lack of identity and hybrid tax. Someone tell me how to do it right and I might play them more often.

For newbies to the class the learning curve is a bit steep.
PRACTICE IT MORE and you'll love it.
I did.

Nonsense. This ambiguous "practice" I should be doing won't make my character more resilient to damage according to how many hours I've logged playing him. Tech armor doesn't really feel like armor to me.
I think some people just like having glowy holo-armor and it blinds them to the utter average-ness of Sentinel. Better to pick a specialized tech or biotic class and master those powers than pick the sentinel and be subpar at both.

that turians cant dodge is a little bit unexpected but ok...
seeing a krogan rolling over the field would be a bit funny but a turian should be able to do so.

Engineers do it better. Not trying to argue or put you down for liking your character, just saying this is the hybrid tax I referred to earlier.BiggBno wrote...
Personally I love my Turian sentinel. Especially with chained overload and light weapons. With overload at max they are good at crowd control as well.

But the engineer is still an overall better class. Between chain-overload and chain-shock on my drone, I can manage pretty much any group of enemies and the distraction the drone provides is way better for survivability than tech armors piddling damage resistance.

Not a fan of the human variant, but Turian sentinels kick arse.

I can't wait play Turian soldier if this is what the sentinel is like.

The Turian just feels underwhelming though. Overload is nice but that's it. Unless I'm missing something it feels like there's absolutely no synergy there whatsoever.

Anyway, in the end it all comes down to preference, and I have'nt really tried engineer yet.

Havent got any major upgrades on it yet, but I'm really kicking ass with my scoped revenant for my Turian sentinel. And isn't overload the same in every class? If so, the engineer can't have any better chainoverloading than the sentinels.

The point is, engineer gets the same overload + better synergy from the rest of its toolset. Chain overload + stun drone for distraction results in much greater survivability not only for yourself but the rest of your team, than what the tech armor provides.
